I think this whole thing is much ado about nothing. The people who get all worked up about things being said instead of actual f#cked up things that happen drive me nuts & give me lil hope for humanity.

Plus I mean **** who agrees with everything anyone says any damn way. Anyone worth knowing probably has some sort of controversial or unpopular opinion or thought about something.

You mean, like this turd..... ?

Regarding the protest, 30 people? Ouch. Almost counter-productive when your protest is laughably small.

      good point !

Fury should have pointed out that 30 wankers does not a crowd make.

What happened to the 50k who signed the petition ?

The UK media have blown this waaay out of proportion.

Okay, sorry for confusing rambling with fumbling, but nevertheless I still believe Muhammad Ali was very intelligent. He actually wasn't vain and only used that persona after watching Gorgeous George to put bums in seats. When he was famous enough he used it to highlight injustices. People who slate Ali and say he is unintelligent are just trying to be edgy.

Ali was a puppet for the nation of Islam, they fed him things to say.

Or they know he had an IQ of 78.

The code and witlessness of this moron reminds us of how far removed we have become from such majesty and respect.
Ali utilized his verbal bombast for glory. It's now just a world of glory seekers.
              ... i.e. Pythagoras...

... In 588 BC, during the 48th Olympiad, Pythagoras (while still a boy) was excluded from the boys' boxing contest, but he went on to the men's contest and successfully defeated all his opponents.

Fury apologised for offending people, not for his views.

The Furious One remains the most charismatic, talked about man in boxing. WAR FURY!

Fair enough. I don't necessarily agree but it's a valid viewpoint none the less.

I suspect that if you were around during Ali's time you'd hold exactly the same views about him as you currently do Fury. Members of an older generation can never understand characters like that, though they feel fine glorifying the idols of their youth who were in all likelihood just as abrasive. The passage of time tends to dull the edges of even the most radical of individuals, and the more impact they have on the establishment the more likely they are to be to be assimilated by the next

Fury isn't Ali and won't ever be, but he's his own man carving his own path to glory just the same. Some people can respect that. Others cannot. It is what it is.
