Made that big money from the Floyd fights and called it a day. **** it. The first fight was great but that second one was trash.

He should keep fighting. No way he stays retired.

          Good on him.

He fought his ass off in every fight and made himself enough money to retire well.

Cong**** to El Chino if he calls it.

He earned it, got the double jackpot. I could see myself do the same in his shoes.

I don't follow the fighter's money trail....but I would like to know what did Chino net in his two fights against Floyd?!?....did those two fights set him for life?

he made a lot of money and he's retiring in argentina, where i'm sure he can buy a lot of land and property and live without working for the rest of his life. a million dollars in argie goes a heck of a lot longer than it does in manhattan, or las vegas.

the beef down there is unf#cking real. second highest mountain range in teh world. beautiful women. absolutel gorgeous girls down there. rolling farms in the valleys. good wine country. argie is paradise, from what i hear.

well, in the first fight i truly he was paid off over the gloves. made a 1.5 million garantee, IIRC, and ppv upsides are raraely, if ever, made public after the buys come out.

then he made 3 million in the rematch. again, not sure about ppv money, but floyd's obviously taking the lion's share of it.

add those paydays with all of his purses from the past in main events, such as alexander, khan, lopez, ortiz [think that was a main,] others, and he's a very, very wealthy man in argentina.

Maidana leaving a lot of cash on the table.. He should have been this era's Mayorga and be the b-side to every major fighter and get paid well.. Mayorga fought forrest twice, mosely twice, tito, cotto, Oscar, n Vargas..
Maidana should be cashing out vs guys like
                      Manny
                      Marquez
                      Canelo
                      cotto

                      Or even
                      Khan 2
                      Bradley
                      Thurman
                      Brook
                      Lucas
                      Porter
                      Danny

Tons of big money fights left for maidana

have you seen him lately? he's massive! he's been eating that world class argentinian beef. those guys eat more beef, per capita, than any other nation. nobody comes close! chino has been fattening on that grass fed beef.

he's not getting back to 147 lbs, lol. it would take him a year to lose the weight. he might never lose it. he might make 154, but even then he'd be doing most of the work just losing weight, and his style isn't good for fighting bigger gys.

i respect his decision. he's made plenty of money for a comfy retirement.
