    I find myself wandering just what it is about GGG that makes people take the time out of their day. Farcical titles and title runs are hardly news - the sport is rife with this kinda BS and has been for decades.

    I find myself a little amused by the TSs apparent outrage at the supposed smear on the reputations of Hagler and Monzon - as if anything GGG does will somehow tarnish their legendary status. C'mon TS - you start GGG bashing threads every day, why do you need a fig leaf now? Nice touch including Hopkins' reign though - makes it look more objective and less agenda driven.

      It seems GGG haters will do everything to discredit Golovkin as much as possible. Their latest goal is to try and say Danny Jacobs is more credible champion than Golovkin. It's pathetic because these same people seem to have no push to want and see Jacobs actually fight Golovkin. Some of them brag that Jacobs will get Golovkin stripped if they go to purse bid, yet Jacobs is free to fight on HBO. They recognize Jacobs has no chance and seek whatever outs they can find.

        Two whole paragraphs and yet you have failed to offer a counter argument to what the TS presented in the OP.

        So, what's your agenda here?

              I'd personally LOVE to see that fight. It's much too bad that fight wont happen seeing as Bumlovkin, staying true to the Triple Duck form, will *avoid* Jacobs like the plague...

                  LMAO.

                  Did you not read the VERY first paragraph. Let me quote it here for you;
                  The Gennady Golovkin-David Lemieux middleweight title unification fight on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York generated "just over" 150,000 pay-per-view buys, K2 Promotions managing director Tom Loeffler told ESPN.com on Thursday night.
                  I ask for the official PPV numbers and you give me a quote from Bumlovkin's promoter. Do you even know what the word "official" means?

                  Try again, Genius...

                    Real boxing fans know who the champions are with all the belts flying around. You have to actually follow the sport without being biased to certain fighters. I have my favorites.

                    for example....Roy Jones is my all-time favorite fighter and the reason I boxed my self but he was never the lineal light heavyweight champion. Was he the best at the time? IDK that's opinion. The facts are he cleaned out 175 without facing the guy who mattered. The one guy.....Dariusz Michalcewski was the champion never the less.

                    Hopkins held the IBF belt @ 160 when Lonnie Bradley, Jorge Castro, Julian Jackson, Quincy Taylor, Reggie Johnson were titlists...also guys like Gerald McClellan, John David Jackson in their prime held titles after he lost to Jones and before he won the title in 95.

                    all good fighters and its no guarantee he would have beat them so we cant just give him credit for something he didn't do....he proved he was the best middleweight in 2001...in the 90s he was happy fighting washed up john david jacksons, and simon browns, he best defense until the middleweight tournament was Antwun Echols who was not as good or accomplished as the guys I mentioned nor held a title

                    more belts doesn't make it harder, its the quality of the fighters and making it a mission to unify or get them all

                    As for GGG.....he is a top contender with a belt, its just a fact. Canelo is the man who beat the man. To be the man GGG has to fight Canelo. Arguing who is the best is nothing but opinion. Canelo is the champion.
