Nobody is backtracking anything. It's not an 'or' scenario. Quillin is on record that he wants unreasonable amount of money to fight Golovkin, AND he's a Haymon fighter.

They weren't supposed to be risky fights. He was like 5/1 favorite vs Maidana, and 10/1 vs Paulie or worse.
