That's crap, he lost to Boone and nobody even cared, he lost to GGG and some crazy fans started thinking he could compete with any other middleweight but Golovkin. If anything that fight made him popular. He just didn't back it up. No fights at all, what is he complaining about? I don't get paid for not working either.

      you people make me sick.
Most of us were Floyd fans when he was a "small guy" in the sport so its not a surprise.
Those that do not like him didn't really start watching him until 24/7.

Willie needs to realize his dull defensive style makes it difficult for Banner Promotions to get him fights.

They have kept Provodnikov active, because people want to see him fight.

honestly he might need to change management because it isn't up to others to call you, it is up to your management to find you the fights. its ****, it sucks but it is just the nature of this business. GGG strugled getting fights of any worth pre- k2. he offered to fight Barker (back in the day) for 20 ringside tickets and a logo at ring side lol (funny interview with barker and Hearn) and they still rejected him, that's when he just became WBA champ and barker was looking for a belt.

on a 2nd note they should try to get the canelo fight, its winnable fight for Canelo and i think having a common opponent will help build the fight.

I think I saw this article over a month ago.

I think Willie is a good fighter. I think he can beat a lot of the middleweight contenders..I actually think he would outpoint quillin without much issue. But I do not feel bad for him.

He went on a long rant sucking off Haymon but is too dumb to acknowledge that Haymon is the exact reason that he is having trouble getting a fight on tv. Haymon has all of the dates and wants to put other promoters (like willie's) out of business.

Also, he got destroyed by GGG, who could have finished him in the second round. And then he quit in the 6th round. But then he brags about his performance in that fight LOL.

Losses are the death of a career for a fighter on the come up. Tureano Johnson isn't an option for him because no network will pick it up and a promoter will be in the red who puts that card on.

That's why fighters don't take risks until they are happy with the financial reward. As a fan I hate that aspect of boxing because I want to see fights get made but it's the truth and it's why you don't see the Willie Monroe's of the world stepping up to face GGG level opponents right away.

                    more disgusting dishonest revisionist history.

come on man, floyd was promoted by arum, one of his crown ***el prospects. olympic gold medalist, famous name, famous uncles and fathers but you floyd fans want to turn floyd's come up into some syrian saga sob story.

                    stop being dishonest.

floyd was protected and groomed from the beginning.

Fighters are protected and fights aren't made for a reason. If you lose you become less marketable, your record isn't as pretty on the networks during intros and a promoter will take a loss putting you on events at empty casinos. Fighters need to be groomed, promoted and built up the right way and that is:

                      1. Early in your career, stay undefeated and take low risk fights
                      2. Gradually step up your opposition and take the most dangerous fights later in your career when you are an established product with a real fan base.

Every fighter does this but Monroe tried to play hero and go against the norm. Now he has respect but no fights, no money and no interest from promoters.

Fans talk all that **** about fighting for legacy and trying to earn their respect but when fighters do that and fail they end up like Willie Monroe.
PREACH! Another point he's making is that losing that 0 with Haymon doesn't hurt as much because he'll still give you a fight and put you on TV. He gave Roberto Garcia numerous chances after he kept messing up outside the ring.
