Canelo could not dispose of the "new" but still older version of Cotto.
Golovkin is too fast, sharp and powerful for Alvarez and will remain so at the probable catch weight of 157. Saul is in no hurry to face this music.Comment

No bro, sorry tell me how can I link past posts from years ago to prove it, I've got people who are very close to Canelo.
I predicted he would fight Trout when no one thought he would, I said it too, he would fight Lara and no one believed me.
Just tell me if there's a way to link or to find those past posts, I'm telling you word came just to me yesterday, Canelo vs GGG in Sep is Official.Comment

Do you really think the vile scumbags at the WBC will strip Canelo if he refuses to fight g string? Let's review!
The vile scumbags at the WBC let Canelo fight a 3rd tier, unrated 147lber (M Hatton) for their vacant 154lb belt.
The vile scumbags at the WBC allowed a matchup vs the #4 contender (Ryan Rhodes, a joke all by itself) to be counted as a mandatory. When was the last time one of the alphabet organizations allowed a defense vs #4 to count as a mandatory.
The vile scumbags at the WBC then allowed Canelo to defend their 154lb belt vs not one but two second rate 140 lbers (A Gomez, Josito Lopez).
Again I ask you, do you really think the vile scum bags at the WBC will strip Canelo if he refuses to fight g string?Comment

well he ducked GGG for May 7, that is quite clear. What is not clear at this moment is if he is also going to duck him in September......Comment

what choice is there? To be angry? Its the better of 2 bad choices. If he forces a strippage, then the lineage is broken, sure he gets the WBC title, but Canelo still gets to call himself "lineal" champ. But if this deal works, he gets the WBC title, the lineal title, a boatload of money, and a ton of exposure.
Sure, I wish it was happening in May. But it isnt. But in this scenario GGG really has nothing to lose. If the fight doesnt happen, he's no worse off than he is right now. And if the fight DOES happen, then he was right to try and make the deal, and will be rewarded accordingly......Comment
