Isn't Heiland next in the ratings? The fight would suck. I just want to see Canelo vs a real MW though, to gauge a little better how he would do vs GGG. The level of opposition at MW is basically all the same, all C level fighters, so who he fights really doesn't matter as long as they are a real sized MW and he makes them look like the C fighter that they are. Heiland, Lemieux, N'Dam, Geale, pick your C fighter. It really doesn't matter but I think at this point Heiland is probably the less beaten up fighter of the pack and he is #1 in the WBC ratings. Whack fight but just get a fight in vs a true MW, win over 153lb Cotto indicates nothing but the fact that he can beat a Jr Middleweight holding a MW title.

i hope heiland gets a chance vs canelo. he is always in good shape, has a good engine and is a real mw

if there were any garuantees i would say decent plan... but there are no guarantees. infact this **** might make it worse as Golovkin will likely now fight only twice (maybe 3 times in 2016) and if none of those are Canelo then we all lose.
