You sensitive bitter Cotto fans need to stop your crying. 2 facts that no matter the amount of crying and arguing won't change. 1. Cotto ducked GGG and 2. Cotto got whooped by Canelo. Get over it. Reason Cotto got murdered by fans for almost 2 years is because everybody including his fanbase knew he was never going to fight GGG. Was afraid to even mention his name in interviewers and had a deer in the headlights frighten moment when asked after the Geale fight. Canelo after his fight says I'll fight him and is actually negotiating to fight him next year. 2 things Cotto never did and if he won wasn't going to do that's why he refused to pay the fee.

As for the topic, I have no problem with that as long as they will fight in September, and I think they will. This fight gonna be huge, let it marinate for a couple of months.

From the way it was explained to me on here the other day, WBA regular vs WBO champ isn't considered a unification so Jacobs will have to fight his mandatory next, which might be GGG, the WBA will decide next week. WBA president and directors can call a mandatory between super & regular champ.

Based on what? Did Canelo tell Golovkin 'you either get the belt OR a fight with me, not both'? From what this article sounds like, they're offering Golovkin both the belt, the fight and the money if he waits 4-5 months.

because they've stated plenty of times that they are after the belt, that they don't care who has it and the winner of the Cotto/Canelo fight MUST fight GGG NEXT or be stripped.....

Before the Cotto/Canelo fight I was told the winner agreed to fight GGG next. I bought the fight based on seeing who would fight GGG next. The WBC, GBP, Canelo breached a verbal agreement with the fans. I'm suing for damages. Who wants to join my class action lawsuit?

Can he take a closer step towards unification right now by getting his WBC belt from Canelo? Yes. By not doing that he's delaying unification. That's GGG's belt, he's paid his sanctioning fees, he's stepped aside, he was promised the winner would fight him next. If Canelo doesn't want to fight him next GGG needs to take his belt and go onto his goal, unification. #allthebelts

No you are bitter. Still upset because Cotto was called out and rightfully so for ducking GGG for a year and half and you think you can gain some respect back for Cotto by trying to paint Canelo as doing the same. When I already pointed out 2 things Canelo has done in 2 weeks that Cotto refused to do in a year and half while he kept that belt hostage. Cotto will go in history as having ducked GGG at middleweight and having lost to Canelo. Those are 2 facts that burn your soul. And no matter how much you cry and whine won't change it.

I'm trying to see the better side of this, at least he can fight his IBF mandatory in Tureano Johnson and avoid being stripped.

Unification trumps mando, as was the case with GGG-Lemeiux, when Lemiuex's side said that they have mandatory obligations but then Tom contacted IBF and they gave the green light saying that unification comes first.

look, there are 3 fights that need to take place in 2016 for a complete 160 unification:

1. Canelo for WBC / lineal title
2. Johnson mando to retain IBF title
3. Lee/Saunders winner for WBO title

Does it really matter which order they happen, as long as they happen? Are you really so far down on your list of GGG stuff to complain about that the bout order is your complaint of the week? Would you rather he was elevated to full champ instead of actually beating canelo?
