He's not as popular as Canelo but he's no Quillin. Do you agree he's a top10 p4p fighter?

Definitely not Quillin's level. He's a solid champion no question. And I've put him on a couple of my pound for pound lists but at the lower end. At times, I don't put him on there at all. His resume is lame, man. Just lame.

When has Canelo done that with anyone? He fought Mayweather, Trout, Lara, Cotto all fights fans wanted and has ducked no one but he is going to start with GGG? After he already said he wants to fight him and is negotiating with him right now. He is going to fight GGG the only mystery is will it be May or Sept. Canelo is already doing more to work out a fight with GGG in 2 weeks as champion then other belt holders and mandatory fighters at 160 have done in years. As long as the fight happens next year I'm good. Waiting 5 months is not the same as waiting over 5 years like fans had to do with Mayweather. And Canelo doesn't have a track record of ducking fighters

Well it's all hear say right now, but it fits in with the talk from a few weeks back that they would both take 1 more fight before meeting in September.

I'm ok with that as long as the fight takes place in 2016. But i certainly wouldn't be surprised if Canelo passes on the fight once September comes around.

Golovkin Vs Johnson could be made. Makes you wonder who Canelo's fight would be with. I don't see Lemieux making 155.

i'm guessing alvarez will have an easy one (clottey or rosado, for example) and golovkin will try to fit in two fights before september. tureano will be one of them, and i guess lee is the target for the other if he gets past BJS. if they manage to get lee, then i reckon that will be in march and the IBF defence will be quickly fulfilled in europe or asia in the summer

I did predict he'd fight the Clottey/Rosado winner, but I'd rather it be someone who's higher ranked. Since Rosado fought Lemieux/GGG/Quillin, all he has to do is win convincingly against Clottey and he'll probably be a shoe-in for May.

You sensitive bitter Cotto fans need to stop your crying. 2 facts that no matter the amount of crying and arguing won't change. 1. Cotto ducked GGG and 2. Cotto got whooped by Canelo. Get over it. Reason Cotto got murdered by fans for almost 2 years is because everybody including his fanbase knew he was never going to fight GGG. Was afraid to even mention his name in interviewers and had a deer in the headlights frighten moment when asked after the Geale fight. Canelo after his fight says I'll fight him and is actually negotiating to fight him next year. 2 things Cotto never did and if he won wasn't going to do that's why he refused to pay the fee.

Cotto is old news. This is about Canelo and GGG, you cotto fans need to take your tears elsewhere.

He keeps saying unification is the goal but keeps stepping aside, avoiding unification. Canelo doesn't owe him a payday. GGG is rated higher than Canelo & he's HBO's featured fighter. If he's not getting paid what he's worth that's between him & K2. Instead of paying GGG what he's worth K2 keeps trying to latch onto other fighters in order to get GGG a good payday.

up until last weekend, there were 3 relevant fights for GGG in 2016.

Sure I preferred Canelo first, but in reality I was fine with those 3 guys in any order. Now obviously Jacobs has inserted himself into the conversation, but it remains to be seen how the WBA will resolve their mando situation, and also the Haymon - HBO issue figures in also, so Jacobs isnt a real conversation at the moment, at least not until the WBA convention next week.....


and fyi if it were me, I'd force a strippage. But it isnt me, so what I think doesnt matter

Stepping aside three times now? He's closer than ever to unification with the winner of Lee/Saunders. GGG can take his belt from Caneko and If Lee wins he can unify and become undisputed. Allowing Canelo to keep the belt and wait until September only delays unification. What's so ****** about the truth? #allthebelts
