i don't see this. i'm not an expert to the degree that i'm saying it's impossible, i just haven't seen anything to indicate that the purse would be close. i'd need to see what kind of history you're looking at that makes you think those two could draw more particularly than floyd mayweather - amir khan.

pacquiao's at an odd spot at this point. i don't think for a second that brook - khan outsells khan - mayweather.


i'd also llike to know what kind of tax structure exists for a pro fighter who comes to vegas to fight. vegas has no state income tax. federal income taxes are low. that's one of the reasons people fight there. you get to keep a lot of your money. i'm not sure what kind of obligation khan would have to pay taxes, but it would cut in his bottom line.

the revenue sources would be british domestic ppv and money from american premium network tv in khan - brook. gate, sponsorships, factor in as well, but those are the primary revenue sources. against mayweather he'd get a ppv garantee, probably some of the upside, and then the opportuniyt to leverage for the lion's share of UK PPV. i can't see brook - khan outselling khan - mayweather in UK PPV, never mind to the point that it eclipses the ability to draw twice from the well with two PPV markets.

A PPV at 4/5 in the morning would not do as well here as a primetime PPV between two Brits in a grudge match.

I think you overestimate Khan's actual popularity here. Not as many people are going to stay up to watch him as they did Hatton.

I think back then Mayweather allowed Hatton to keep all the UK revenue which ended up being a bit of a balls up by Floyd as it did a million buys over here. He'd obviously ask for a significant cut of the UK PPV with Khan and would keep the lion's share, if not ALL of the US money.
