  • Comments Thread For: Whyte: Joshua a Convicted Scumbag, He Peddled Drugs

Anthony Joshua MBE has told Dillian Whyte that his amateur win will count for nothing when they clash on a packed bill at The O2 on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Joshua and Whyte clash for the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight titles with Tyson Fury’s World title win firmly shifting the power-base of the division to the UK – both men know a win will put themselves into a great position for major fights in 2016.

It was a long time ago, Joshua has grown up since then. We all made mistakes in our teens.

I don't really care what anybody does drugs-related. I doubt he was running an Escobar empire and having people gunned down in the street or anything. Not many saints in boxing, but it's only when boxers get to the Stevenson-level of scumbag where it becomes something you want to see them KTFO over.

Whyte is going to get smashed

We all know about the weed situation and no one gives a s**t

Hopefully whyte can last more than a couple of rounds so we can see Joshua's stamina in the second half of the fight

My money's on a 3rd ko for Joshua

I really want Joshua to become great, and to be a star and help carry this sport.

But he has the personality of a hamster, there is just absolutely nothing there. It's going to be hard for him to get much shine here in the U.S. At least.

Going by Whyte's last fight unless he has made some giant leap this will be over in 1-2 rounds, depending how far Joshua wants to carry him. My guess would be for all the shyt he has talked he won't give him the glory of making it beyond the three.

Poor bastard is gonna regret his shyte talk, come the first bell.

I don't understand how a loud-mouthed fool like Whyte or Fury becomes more popular than a well-mannered man like Joshua or Klitschko.

              It wasn't always that way.

For example, Floyd Patterson who had good manners was well-liked in America, while loud-mouthed and abrupt Sonny Liston was unpopular.

Agreed I find nothing about his personality I can relate to, I'm sure he has no sense of humour unlike Klitschko, Fury and Wilder. Dude looks seriously stiff and uptight in his video interviews, kinda like 'Look at me I may have a tiny pecker but I'm huge'

Joshua's media persona is synthetic, just like his physique.

Klitschko could of been very popular here but he hasn't been able to pull the trigger in forever, and his fights were boring as heck. His personality had nothing to do with being unpopular.

Yeah even Lennox Lewis had trouble building hype here in the U.S. And that was when the sport was much more popular. If Joshua is knocking dudes out he might cross over I just don't know how much.

A lot of casuals here already know who Wilder is and he hasn't even been in a big fight yet. So who knows.
