I don't understand how a loud-mouthed fool like Whyte or Fury becomes more popular than a well-mannered man like Joshua or Klitschko.

It wasn't always that way.

For example, Floyd Patterson who had good manners was well-liked in America, while loud-mouthed and abrupt Sonny Liston was unpopular.

Klitschko could of been very popular here but he hasn't been able to pull the trigger in forever, and his fights were boring as heck. His personality had nothing to do with being unpopular.
