Picked ring size, judged, local, gloves of opponents, etc.

Waited out the dangerous fighters until he knew his running style could keep them from doing anything.

Stick and move my assssss. His style was move, clinch, a tap your opponent, and then clinch and run.

His biggest win came five years too late, after Manny was damaged goods.

And let's not forget, hiding his weight. Like Fischer says, Floyd is very big now. He is probably a legit JRMW in the ring--although JRMW like Lara, Andrade, and Charlo are MW sized fighters, it's all jacked up.

Floyd Mayweather was a stepping stone to the next iteration, Canelo Alverez. Ginger, a Legit MW, CW King, refuse to be a MW, creating his own division crap.

Without Floyd, Canelo may of never tried this I'm a 155 fighter BS.
Legit jmw now? Lol, blatant lies you guys tell know no limits. And that 'Floyd always hides his weight' crap is also one of the biggest blatant lies you haters tell.

The last time Floyd weighed in on fight night was one fight before Pacquiao, yes, just last year september in his second fight against Maidana. Floyd didn't hide his weight in that fight, and he came in weighing just 148 pounds as opposed to Maidana's 165.

Before that he had weighed in on fight night in 2013 against Saul Canelo Alvarez, and guess what, he weighed in at 150 for a jnr middleweight bout against a guy who weighed in at 167. Oh and guess what, May's weight was half a pound LOWER than it was on the one day weigh in.

Before that he last gave his weight against Miguel Cotto in 2012, coming in at a weight of 151 pounds for a jnr middleweight bout.

Guess what, that is Mayweather's HIGHEST weight EVER recorded on fight night. Wana know what Pacquiao weighed on May 2? Lol, yea I bet you don't, and people be tryna say Pacquiao is the smaller man when he MOST likely outweighed Floyd coz you won't find Floyd ever weighing as much as Pacquiao did on May 2 (152 Pounds).

There is some truth to what he's saying but I wouldn't say he changed the sport. Boxing hasn't been mainstream since Mike Tyson and even then not too many people cared for the sport. Mayweather brought a lot of attention to boxing again. Unfortunately, people only paid attention when he was fighting but you could see other boxers benefitting from his success. It will be interesting to see if some of those people stick around now that he's retired. He didn't change the sport with his success but he did bring it to a level we hadn't seen in a long time.

You Floyd haters are hilarious, they guy can't get credit for anything he's done simply because you hate him. He is the best fighter of this era, has brought millions of $$ and attention to the sport, has probably lost only a handful of rounds his entire career and has dominated world class fighters and made them look mediocre/amateur. Yet all of you still hate and talk ****. You are so mad that you hate him so much but no one could beat him...you can't let it go. I mean Jesus, he has beaten 1st ballet HOF guys regardless of what details you bring up. Outside of Floyd some of the other top fighters of this era are Pac, JMM and Cotto and he beat all 3 of them.

Christ man its absurd the hate is so blind to what this man has done. I am no Pac fan at all but I respect what he has done regardless.

I think Floyd has got delusions of granduer. So people werent interested in superstars like Pep, Duran, Sadler and Pac and all the other great little fighters?

Moving from one division to another depending on how strong divisions were. If his division was too strong hed get out of it ASAP.

Stay retired Floyd. But in 20 years time people will know the only reason why he and GGG didnt fight at 160 was because of Floyd. The only reason why he didnt try to reverse the controversy in the Pac fight is because of Floyd. The only reasons why fights dont happen is because of Floyd.!!!

Oscar hadn't been at WW for 8 years or so before that fight. So how was he bringing attention to a division he wasn't even a part of?
