What the fu ck is haymon doing with Porter? It's like he hates him. I'm surprised Porter isn't calling out haymon, Santa Cruz style. How the hell can Haymon get a guy Porter beat a fight before Porter AND for a fu cking title while Shawn is not doing a thing hoping to fight a guy whos under the same umbrella and is very possible to make.

Keith Thurman is scared of Porter and is in hiding now

Thurman is leery of tough fights and is in hiding from Porter now. Thurman has no boxing career and is a talker not a champion. Dwarfs like Thurman little mini men half pints would be laughed out of any man's bar in America and be given a wedgie.

Jacobs/Quillin was originally supposed to be on PBC then moved to Showtime because the purses were too much money.

Also if the fight does end up being pushed from PBC to Showtime the recent TV ratings for the Jacobs/Quillin fight might impact how much Porter and Thurman get paid. Showtime just paid Jacobs and quillin 1.5mil each for a fight that drew only 275K viewers and filled less then half of the arena only 8k in attendance. A complete disaster and waste of money for showtime for a fight that they overpaid and bid against themselves. No other network would pay 1.5mil for those guys because you lose money and don't turn a profit. And you can't put this on PPV because neither guy has proven to be a big draw. Thurman or Porter might have to take a paycut from what they have been making in previous PBC mismatch fights. At some point these PBC inflated purses will have to go down because this model Haymon has created can't sustain itself.
Dude! Everything you just said is false! PBC had 2 or 3 of the highest rated boxing events! They broke records for ratings on regular TV for sure with Santa Cruz and Thurman vs Ghost! You talking out your neck! Show me proof to back up your statement because I can! Googe is just a thumb away

So if the fight is on hold because of Haymon it's not like Thurman can just come out and throw Haymon under the bus that would be violating his contract. Porter can't come out and bash Haymon either he is taking shots at Thurman when he knows Haymon is calling all the shots not Thurman.
LMAO! What the hell are you talking about? Once again show proof to back up your statements! PBC has put on better matches then HBO and ShowTime combined? I can give at least 4 fights on PBC that were good competitive fights by top contenders! I can't say the same for HBO.

Why Premier Boxing Champions is Essential to Boxing’s Future

Forget Haymon, his projects, and even the individual fighters that make up PBC, the idea behind this effort is boxing’s only chance at true reform and a mainstream resurgence (at least to a degree).

A successful PBC-style business model would change the power structure of the sport and take bouts directly to the networks, bypassing, to a great degree, the promoters, sanctioning bodies, and other powerbrokers in the sport, who are responsible for much of what is wrong with the business today. With legitimate businessmen interested in boxing, the only interest will be in making fights that people want to see. Most of the old guard shady practices used to consolidate power and keep the sport from actually being run as a sport would simply have no reason to exist anymore. A promoter will derive his power from putting on the best shows, not from protecting and elevating an exclusive stable of fighters under his full control.

But unless boxing can actually prove itself as a viable business, the heavy hitters at the corporate level won’t be interested. And this is where Haymon and PBC come in.

Nobody else is making a play to attract this “legitimate” money interest and, honestly, nobody else ever will. Very few outsiders are shrewd enough to work their way into power within the tightly-guarded boxing scene and those who do are eventually co-opted into the same corrupt system and/or systematically eliminated by the old guard.

Haymon, however, despite his own questionable dealings and dubious deeds, has a chance at making this play to the mainstream happen. If he can show boxing to be a profitable sport, capable of being re-introduced to the mainstream, the heavy-hitters with billions at their disposal will be more likely to adopt it and, consequently, protect it from the shenanigans that have always traditionally held the sport back.

So, whether you like Haymon and what he’s doing or not, his attempts at changing the power structure of the sport are essential to the long-term health of the business. The current premium cable model is slowly strangling the life from the sport, turning boxing more and more into a micro-niche sport and actively preventing many of the biggest fights from ever happening.

Bro don't agree with his opinions like they are facts! Tell him to show proof! PBC set records this year for ratings. He just talking out his ass! But your post I agree with. Haymon is good for the sport. I just don't like the matches in the middle of the day. I always miss them. You can't have a match on a Saturday at 3pm. Everybody out

Kenny, your son & Thurman are both under Haymon. Do you expect us to believe that you don't know the status of a possible fight between them? Nice try @ a publicity stunt, but ultimate FAIL.

What the hell are you talking about? Thurman is a beast! I don't know what's going on with this fight because I believe Thurman beats Porter easy! I do like Porter but he had a difficult time fighting on the outside! But you run up on Thurman in a bar of you want to. You'll wake up in critical! KEYBOARD WARRIOR!!!!

Bronx2245 the problem is what you and many hoped PBC would be before it launched is not what it actually is. The idea is good but the execution and the man behind it has caused a real fracture among fans. In a short time it's brought a ton of negativity and criticism in how they are handling the fights. And this is not even speaking to the ratings which have been dreadful. And the fall out from these over inflated purses for mismatches is now fights like Porter vs Thurman are difficult to be made be because they cost too much. If not for these guys making well over 1mil in mismatches now they expect more then that to fight against each other. And PBC investors don't want to lose money on a card that is not going to generate ratings so that's why this fight is on hold. Jacobs and Quillin each made 1.5mil despite neither having a fanbase and showtime losing money paying for it and getting less then 270K viewers and only a half full arena. How is this good for the sport of boxing? Putting on fight cards that are not profitable is good for the sport? PBC has inflated purses, and added a new wrinkle that makes top fights difficult to make. And the quality of the fights has been lack luster to say the least. If this was all done to attract casual fans and make the sport bigger you might have argument that end justifies the means. Problem is casuals either don't like or don't care about PBC hence the dreadful TV Ratings that have basically fallen each month since PBC debuted.
