Epic fight, truly the unexpected (at least until the 3rd round). After Pac's run through bigger men, nobody expected Marquez to do what he previously could not. It was a truly amazing victory for Marquez.
Although Manny hasn't turned the clock back or anything, I still applaud Manny for bouncing back the way he did after such a devastating loss, an absolutely great fighter.Comment

Marquez might have weighed the same for both fights, but very few degrees of comparison can be made in terms of overall strength and conditioning. The Marquez that Pacquiao faced was a different animal, far superior to the one that Floyd fought in every aspect.Three weight classes? Your math is off. Marquez jumped one weight class and a half. He went from 135 to 142 and Floyd weighed 146. To put that into perspective. Marquez weighed only 143 on the fourth fight with Pacquiao and Manny weighed 147, one pound heaver than Floyd was. And Marquez STILL ko'd Manny despite being older and still at a weight disadvantage.
Here's some pictures to put things into perspective.

Does Floyd being the superior boxer over Manny have anything to do with the different outcomes? I mean Manny did have a 4 pt lead after rd 1 in the 1st fight and drew (should've won by 1 pt), which indicates JMM won the majority of the rounds.Marquez might have weighed the same for both fights, but very few degrees of comparison can be made in terms of overall strength and conditioning. Boxing is not a bodybuilding contest. Everyone knows that putting on muscle may make you stronger but also slower. And remember, Marquez was three years OLDER. Manny already had three fights with him. He knew Marquez better than Floyd did and still Floyd beat Marquez better.Marquez might have weighed the same for both fights, but very few degrees of comparison can be made in terms of overall strength and conditioning.
