If GGG wants the respect of a great fighter he must do things great fighters do. If he doesn't do that true fans are not going to give him the same respect. Continue to beat bums and that's all the respect he will get.

i can already tell u the story of what will happen its already written. when ward beats kovalev instead of boxing fans giving ward credit for going up and fighting the monster in krusher and winning they will call the fight boring to discredit his huge win. if ward happens to lose he will automatically be called over rated/exposed etc. its a shame but thats the truth

That is a CROCK OF CRAP. That is all about you being precious about it way ahead of the game. Ward would (not will) get tremendous kudus and be instantly installed as PfP #1 - even if he wins the fight in a boring way.

Now if he fouls his way to a split decision and avoided a re-match then yeah there would be some (justified) hate.
