No date but that is the plan. I believe a HBO gave Ward the deal only if he agreed that he would fight Kov.

HE can make it but wants a big fight and Kov at least is willing to step up.

I appreciate Bernard as much as anybody but he was still a 50 year old man who Kovalev couldn't KO, no way to ignore that part of the equation.

It's a credit to BHop just to make it 12 rounds with Kovalev at that phase of his career and it's also a potential glimpse of how Ward might approach a fight plan for Kovalev- but with a younger man's speed and reflexes.

many people, myself included, suspect Ward will have some kind of "injury" that will postpone the fight, and then strictly by coincidence of course, that "injury" will magically clear up the second Kovalev signs for another fight.

Thats kind of Wards pattern these days. Wait till a guy signs for another fight, and then say "but but but next year doe"

Ok, that has nothing to do with the fact HBO signed him contingent on him fighting Kov. If he gets an injury, he likely still has to get the fight made.

... What "injury"? You mean like "another injury", not this one, I trust...

Ward won't be outsized at 175. He has good height and reach for 175.

If you say so. Feels like you are nervous he might beat Kov. Which is actually an upgrade from being terrified he'd beat GGG.
