Ward on fighting at 168 this is part of an interview from 2007.

I’m not having any trouble with it. I have to be conscious of what I am eating. I mean I always have been. The last week we have to watch carefully. Nothing too strenuous. I feel I won’t be here too long. I walk around 180. I can get to 185 if I stopped training but I rarely do.

Ward is a 175lb fighter now he is not small at the weight. I doubt he can make 168 now.

Also, what does this have to do with his amateur career? You're responding with something that has nothing to do with what I posted.
I'm not gonna argue with you over an inch - different sources give different heights.

Point was that while Ward supposedly stepped aside in the olympics to give Dirrell a better shot, his actual size progression is relatively similar to Kovalev once you factor in the fighters' ages. Ward's amateur career ended at 20, while Kovalev didn't turn pro until 25.

If you compare their weight and height at the same age, they're very close. The only main difference between them is that Kovalev, like quite a lot of Russian fighters, put on more muscle mass in order to box (Ivan Drago style).

Scipio is always distorting facts to try to make Golovkin look bad, and you're buying it without thinking about it.

Ward is listed as 6'1 in Google but 6'0 in Boxrec.
Froch is listed everywhere as 6'1.

And both have the same height:

20 days to the fight, I doubt that Golovkin was even at 165lbs.

            talk about "getting realistic", lol

              .

I'm not buying into anything and I never even mentioned Kovalev or Golovkin. My point was that the majority of Ward's amateur career was not spent at 175 which is a fact. It's a fact that many people choose to either alter or completely lie about. It has nothing to do with "progression," Kovalev or Golovkin.

Your response seems to be based on paranoia.

.... Andre Ward posted the image of himself, showing the scale read-out, on Instagrm.

Not my fault you've deluded yourself into thinking that the actual image doesn't exist.
