This wasn't staged. The video is a recreation, but this did actually happen. It was part of a documentary, if you look closer it's not Liston in the video, but yeah it did happen in real life.

That's what I was going to say, it's a piece of footage shown in a heck of a lot of Ali documentaries, how'd he miss it? Was probably watching re-runs of HBO 24/7 Floyd/Oscar lol

But yeah, just for everyone's information, it was filled with blanks and likely scripted/part of a movie, I can't remember which one.

What wasn't scripted was Ali loading up a bus full of people, mainly women, driving up to Liston's house and getting them all to jeer at him.

One of the major factors in breaking the mob's control of the sport was a number of boxing journalists writing monthly articles attacking them. Where did all those guys go? Today's generation won't ask promoters a follow-up question.

Apparently everybody doesn't know about the book. I didn't even watch the video. The whole thing is old news to me.


I also assumed everyone here was intelligent enough to know that it's from a movie (The Greatest). I guess I expected too much.
