Fans are just suckers for punchers there is nothing overly impressive about Beterbiev. Just another puncher who looks like he won't transition well from the amateurs. Lets not ignore that in his last fight he was severely frustrated, looked one paced, easy to hit and was outboxed in large spurts by some very average journeyman.

He is more of a Korobov than a GGG or Kovalev.

I'm not sold on Beterbiev. He has power but he's incredibly stiff. My goodness, he's almost as stiff as Valuev. I still question whether or not he can go a full 10 or 12 rounds, because Ward can drag a fight out.

Ward probably doesn't finish him, but I think he humiliates him.

I donne how he turns out but its an odd comparison since Korobov was passive and underwhelming vs journeymen

Out of all the Eastern European LHW prospects coming through. Mekhontsev, Salamov, Beterbiev etc I think the best is Dmitry Bivol.
I don't think he is as naturally heavy handed as a Beterbiev but he is a superb technician with laser like precision.
          He is only 24.
Bit early to say but I think he'll transition better than the rest and has a much higher ceiling.

I say it will be like GGG vs Lemiuex kinda beatdown but in decision with beterbiev beasting the first half then ward will takeover

I mean Boone managed to slip a heavy shot and knock Ward down, almost a KO.. Beterbiev is much much heavier handed, if Artur slips in flush shot it might completely knock Ward out

Beterbiev looks a lot more suited to the pros than Korobov. But his heavy feet would be a problem against Ward.

He has shown me nothing to suggest he can beat Ward.

Beterbiev has a puncher's chance, that is all. He's naturally heavier than Ward, slower and much less experienced.

I think this is a UD12 for Ward to the tune of 120-108, or maybe a late TKO.
