Degale's with Haymon ain't he? US fight is unlikely then cos of network issues but it could probably be made in the UK with Hearn promoting. I won't be holding my breath though, Jacobs may be enforcing his WBA mando, GGG may be forcing his WBC mando and then there's the possibility of the Lee - Saunders winner too. Potentially a busy 2016 for GGG so a move to 168 is unlikely.

Besides Degale really should be working to solidify his position at the top of SMW pile. Right now he seems to be the best at 168 but the margin ain't wide and there's a few up n comers in the division who may be looking to upset the apple cart.

EDIT: Oh yeah. Good fight though. From the point of view of fights I'd like to see, Degale - Golovkin is way more interesting than any of the options at 160.

Well that WOULD BE the issue - but great fight!

DeGale should unify and then when it comes the time , 2017, Golovkin should take a tune up fight at 168 - then go for it.

Haymon fighters have carte blanche in running their mouths since everybody(except NSB apparently) knows they wont fight any big names outside of PBC.

That's a good fight if Golovkin does move up to 168. Hopefully DeGale has Jack in his immediate plans though, as that's a great fight.

Is it plausible though, with the whole HBO/Haymon situation?

Given that GGG-Canelo is still a possibility and given that Jacobs has now been thrown onto the map as a good potential opponent for GGG I don't see GGG/DeGale happening but if they make it I'm all for it. I imagine that, for the most part, we're at least a few fights away from GGG seriously considering a fight at SMW.

Right now DeGale needs to focus on unifying 168, starting with Jack. Golovkin finally has some interesting fights coming up with Jacobs and Alvarez. If politics would prevent Golovkin from fighting Jacobs, then they'd also prevent him from fighting DeGale.
