To have let the fight continue would have been pointless, Quillin was out on his feet and his legs were gone, bad combination. If the fight would have continued it would only gone on for no more than another 30 seconds and those seconds could have cause irreparable damage to Quillin.

The ref seemed a bit trigger happy in general.

He jumped in between them for no reason about a minute before the stoppage too.

20 years ago, the ref would have been murdered for stopping that fight. Boxing is soft these days.

This is how fights should end...

I thought it was premature...we've seen guys come back from being badly hurt...especially gettin caught cold in the first round...

But Quillin didn't complain, probably thinking bout that $1.5 mill in the bank...lol

The more I watch it, the more it looks like a good stoppage. Quillin was not responding to the ref waving his hand in front of his face. He was done. No legs left

I never understood why some fighters dont wanna take a knee and recover. Pride gets in the way to much.

They should have let him continue till he falls again. Let it go till round 2

The ref botched it, first he thought a knockdown had occured when it didn't, then he just waves the fight off right after...? We've seen fighters come back from way worse, soft ass boxing fans talking about Quillin ending up in the ICU with one more punch lol. Go watch any fight of the year candidate and see you'll find numerous times where a trigger happy ref could have stepped in like tonight but didn't and it resulted in a great fight.

Good stoppage. Quillen was out on his feet. Quilling was either too ****** or too arrogant to hold or take a knee. He paid dearly for his ******ity and/or arrogance.

Premature but I don't think it was a bad stoppage..

I can understand the ref stopping it, but I don't like how he kinda halted the action and gave Quillen a break.
