there's no way Jacobs was winning the Pirog fight before the stoppage, he was getting outboxed round after round. the showtime commentators said Jacobs was up on the cards as well, I just don't remember the fight that way.

That's what I thought too tbh...Rewatched it recently and Jacobs was 1 or two points up for me...Edging it with his speed..It was actually kinda confusing ...That what happens with perception though..We probably originally though Jabobs would wipe the floor with him and when It didn't happen you gave Pirog that much more credit...

But I do think Pirog was better btw...The best MW in years I would say if not a few pounds to light

Floyd is the biggest money fight in boxing. He is retired. The fight was never going to happen. Even if they were on the same network with the same promoter, Floyd would NEVER EVER fight Golovkin. Floyd wouldn't even fight Erislandy ****ing Lara. I'm sure Floyd is flattered that you are still on the internet crying real tears for him.
The last time Lara fought on HBO was against Vanes in 2012.

Quillin loss didn't come as a surprise to me, this is a guy who has trouble finishing off his opponent (Lee) and ducked a fighter he had no reason to fear (Korobov).

Quillin was bringing baggage coming into this fight, and that's not the mindset you want to be in a championship fight, and he paid the price. Quillin needs to regroup and get that match with Korobov first.

I'm not exactly a boxing promoter but if I was Haymon and a good deal was in place and have seen the Monroe fight...Why don't I let Lara fight on HBO knowing that win or lose if he looks good he will just bring viewers back to PBC and maybe a title?
