It was a terrible stoppage...I saw the replay on Youtube..didn't really care for this fight because I knew Quillin was a fraud who was exposed by Lee and ducked any real fights..Jacobs also was exposed by Pirog already and Triple G would KO him easily...

Both guys are hype jobs... but that being said...

Stoppage was terrible... and just continues to show why boxing is a marginal sport...way too much clinching... fighters win rounds for running away... and when you actually get a fight that looks like it's going to action-packed you get PC-stoppages like this one...

Nah I disagree. These things happen sometimes. Quillin was out cold while standing. After that second right hand he didnt know the ref was in front of him. Plus he never argued or protested the stoppage. He couldve gotten hurt real bad. Its tough cause he didnt go down which makes it more of a case to argue but it happens. Good stoppage.

I'm fine with that. They both haymon fighters so it should be easy to make. But why Lara would fight the loser of last night's fight makes no sense. As long as jacobs doesn't take a step back in competition I'm fine with the winner of the lee fight or lara.

Before the loss, Quillin was ranked WBA #5 (he's only ranked in the WBA). He'll probably be bumped out of the top 10 now, so it makes no sense for Lara to fight him. Lara should go after Heiland/Blanco/Magomedov/Eubank/Wade, all of which he is capable of beating.

In the perfect world, you're correct, however, Lara would do better with either loser (Quillin or Cotto) because it's bigger fight, especially in Florida or NYC.

If he has no problem wasting his time with the likes of Rodriguez/Zaveck, he shouldn't have an issue with fighting one of those guys to get himself acclimated at MW and to get himself on the rankings. He shouldn't expect to get cherry-picked by a MW titlist, just go about things the "right" way.

How about givin' the Latin Snake a rematch? He is the one who deserves it. Hopefully Quillen retires. He's bad for the sport IMO.

Hell with Sergio Mora, he does not deserve one. I don't like an immediate rematch in this case either, but if Quillin comes back and looks good against a decent opponent, that might be an indicator he still has some hunger in him. I would even accept a Quillin vs Mora fight while Danny fights the Lee/Saunders winner.

Floyd is the biggest money fight in boxing. He is retired. The fight was never going to happen. Even if they were on the same network with the same promoter, Floyd would NEVER EVER fight Golovkin. Floyd wouldn't even fight Erislandy ****ing Lara. I'm sure Floyd is flattered that you are still on the internet crying real tears for him.
