There is no need for a rematch. First they were only able to get 8k people to show up for the first fight despite it being in Brooklyn with local fighters. So there was not much fanfare the first fight and the actual fight was so one sided and short lived why would fans be interested in a second act? Jacobs needs to step up and fight better competition and quillin needs to retire or rebuild his credibility likely at 168.

I'm fine with that. They both haymon fighters so it should be easy to make. But why Lara would fight the loser of last night's fight makes no sense. As long as jacobs doesn't take a step back in competition I'm fine with the winner of the lee fight or lara.Comment

there's no way Jacobs was winning the Pirog fight before the stoppage, he was getting outboxed round after round. the showtime commentators said Jacobs was up on the cards as well, I just don't remember the fight that way.Comment

I disagree, Quillin was literally out cold while standing. He wouldve got hurt bad. Plus he didnt even agrue with the stoppage which proves he was out. What would you be saying if it was allowed to go on and Quillin ends up in the hospital.Comment

LOL funny at these "Triple G haters"... none of them calling for Jacobs v. Triple G lol..they've all seen the Pirog fight and know what will happen lol...
That being said...they don't want Triple G fighting Middleweights..he has to fight Lightheavy weights obviously...
These fans are happy to see Jacobs fight a rematch or fight Andy Lee... these fans protect their "favorites" more than the promoters lol...Comment

That Pirog fight already let you know Jacobs' ceiling?Comment

It would be a good test to see if Lara could handle the bigger fighters @ 160. It would be a test to see if Quillin is finished in the sport. It would be 2 Cubans stars fighting in Miami. Was GGG vs. Willie Monroe Jr. a "useful" fight? How about Cotto vs. DeGale? What about Pacquiao vs. Algeri? How about Bradley vs. Rios? Haymon is not doing anything different than what's been done and still being done!Comment

Jacobs ceiling is a pretty high one time will tell but one thing I know is anyone who can beat someone as good as Jacobs is a very talented fighter.Comment
