If GGG wanted a great name on his resume, for legacy and for glory, then he should have fought Andre Ward. Floyd isn't wrong about that.

Knocking out subpar opponents is great and all but after a while you'd like to see him in against someone who will be competitive.

GGG has plenty of Glory and fame. Thats why people can't stop discussing him. He has an amazing resume that continues to get better and better. Lemieux is an absolute killer and GGG koed him with ease.

He will KO Canelo next, and cement his place as the most exciting fighter of this era. Certainly the most lethal and exciting. Ward and Floyd fans have good reason to be jealous.

Good job at not promoting a fight you won't make money off of, and tearing down an hbo fighter in the process. I think Floyd may end up being decent at this whole promoting thing.

For what it's worth, here are my 2 cents

NEITHER fighter is scared - they are professional boxers FFS!

For his part, Ward seems to be an extremely intelligent & articulate guy who made the mistake of taking a lawyer's advice (wont be the first or last) and it cost him 2 years of his career and credibility with some fans

In the meantime, GGG's people, in an effort to promote his name, made the mistake of talking about 168

This, in turn, caused Rip Van Ward to awake from his self-imposed slumber and declare that he'd have some of that

This led to GGG's people absolutely ****ting themselves as Ward is massive risk, relatively low reward and a loss could've derailed the Golovkin express just as it was gathering steam

As a result, they have been in damage control ever since with one nonsense excuse after another

For their own credibility, GGG needs to make a fight with Canelo and Ward needs to get back in the ring

            END OF

            your timeline is WAY off.......

When GGG was looking at 168 bouts, Ward was nowhere to be found. Even ghostbusters couldnt locate him.

So GGG gets to be mando to cotto-canelo winner, and signs unification with Lemieux, and now that GGG is busy and the coast is clear, here comes Ward rattling his tin cup talking about "but but but but lets fight next year doe"

sorry Andre, you missed the bus. Just go fight 2 or 3 slobs and then find an excuse to get out of the Kovalev fight.......

and as for Floyd, I dont know that a guy who wouldnt even face CANELO without a catchweight ought to be criticizing anyone else about who they faced or didnt face, and under what terms.....

I don't understand why posters that like GGG do not get this. this is the same thing they said to Floyd when he bragged about himself. Now suddenly they are stunad.
