However my point is, if he can make 154, it's no big deal for him to go to 155 for the biggest fight out there at present and to continue his quest to unify.

He might be mandatory for Canelo but he's still not the A-side in that fight as regards "star power" or whatever you want to call it!

IF he can make 155, then he should not let the Canelo fight slip away, assuming of course Canelo will even take it at 155. He said he would, but people say alot of things.

That being said, its still smart for GGG to play hardball and try and get a better split, or some other concessions, for coming down to 155 or 157 or whatever weight they agree on, because as mando he could force a "160 or vacate" scenario.

Now alot of people are playing the "well titles dont matter doe" card, (even if their sig has Floyd and 50 belts lol) ignoring the OBVIOUS conflict with the fact that Canelo paid good money for that title, and seems to want to keep it, so it must mean SOMETHING.

Go ahead and say no and cry cause GGG ducked him but its true.
sorry, but beating a guy who cant sell out the first 3 rows of a greyhound bus does NOT make you a "superstar"

It might add some credibility amongst hardcores and industry insiders, but in no way, shape, or form does it make you a "superstar".

Well he was called out by margs, sexy Sergio, and now GGG at 154 where he had a belt but I don see you bagging on him for it
        All you have are excuses
        Fawking agendas I swear
Yep agree with you... Wish GGG had all those options that "Roiderweather" had in those days, GGG options are thin on the ground.

          Fair enough comment imo!
Mayweather had titles at 154 for 2 years straight. He's was the divisions champion and GGG said he'll come down to your division to fight for the championship and Mayweather was silent.

But cool it's his opinion and it's fair.

I think he's an idiot and I'm already impressed by GGG, thaw my opinion and it's fair.

            uhmmmm, okay.........
Floyd's retired. But since I got a minute to play. Floyd is, has, and will always be a natural welterweight. GGG is, has, and will always be a natural middleweight. When Ward-GGG was initially discussed, Ward was the super middleweight champion. His has since moved on from the division, mostly because GGG won't fight him at 168, a division GGG has expressed interest in fighting in. In terms of natural size, Ward and GGG are a helluva lot closer in size that GGG and Floyd.

Face it, ya boy is a walking contradiction. He'll fight Froch and Chavez Jr at 168, but not Ward. He can "easily" make 154 to fight Floyd. But, he can't make 155 to fight Canelo. Dude is a freak'n joke. And the only bigger joke is his delusional fanbase, all 97K of them. That think this guy is a start and shot caller. And rhino he's relevant with Daniel Geale as his signatute win.

face it, you lack the ability to tell time. When GGG was looking at 168 bouts, Ward was in hiding. It was only after GGG signed the Lemieux fight and was mando to Cotto-canelo winner that Ward poked his head out, saw the coast was clear, and said "but but but lets fight next year doe"

              so GTFOH with that nonsense.......

And Floyd wouldnt even face Canelo without a catchweight, so he should keep quiet.......

He will KO Canelo next, and cement his place as the most exciting fighter of this era. Certainly the most lethal and exciting. Ward and Floyd fans have good reason to be jealous.
                Lol! you made my day.

1 Beating "Just Decent" opposition won't give you glory or will take you to the hall of fame.

                2 Fame? I must've missed something if Golo sold from 97k-150k PPV's.

3 His resume is decent, not amazing.

4 I think he beats Canelo. (Big Canelo fan btw)

5 He's an exciting fighter, no doubt about it, but he ain't the most exciting of our times.

6 By the end of his career, guaranteed, he won't make a bit of what Floyd did financially and legacy-wise. Floyd's the best of our era PERIOD.

7 Ward has beated top opposition on flashy fashion.

                8 Gotcha!

Same size difference between Mayweather and GGG as GGG and Ward.

So why is Mayweather ducking GGG?
Don't recall Mayweather mentioning GGG name on his road to 49, but I do remember GGG and his corner said they will fight anybody at 168, then said anybody except Ward.

He only moved up to 152, though.
