I'm becoming more and more of an MMA fan, and it is quite enjoyable, but there's still a big difference to me.

A 15 minute (or 25 in a title fight) UFC match is fantastic, but when you've got the tension of a megafight or the action of a FOTY that carries forward for about an hour, from ring entrances to judges' decisions, there's a special environment.

One of the things I enjoyed about Cinderella Man was the inclusion of old-school radio play-by-play, the action being painted in the manner when boxing was big for precisely that reason.

Look, Judah-Mayweather was a fight that I had to order out of duty, and it had lost some luster due to Judah's loss to Baldomir. But it was built up properly so that, as the fight was getting going in the first four rounds, I could feel that same tension I do that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

BTW if you wanna see good MMA skip UFC and check out PRIDE much better fighters and much better fights IMO.

That's kind of an assinine statement. Tell ya what, take your best MMA guys, put 'em in boxing gloves and have 'em fight any of the top 10 p4p boxers under the Marquis de Queensbury rules and see who comes out on top.

I'm not disrespecting MMA; but I've seen some boring ass matches there too. Personally, I prefer to see men fight where they're not allowed to hit a man when he's down, where they're only allowed to use their fists, etc. To each his own; but you can't diss boxers by making such a statement. A boxer beats an mma guy under boxing rules, an mma beats a boxer under mma rules. Common sense.

I think boxing is way more exciting than MMA. I dont like all that sitting there and holdoing grabbing and all that. I kno theres an art to it and all that but i jus dont really like watching it. And in MMA when they punch each other they get KO'd in like 1 second. Id rather watch people jus swing at each other and scrap w/ the hands.
