I'm becoming more and more of an MMA fan, and it is quite enjoyable, but there's still a big difference to me.
A 15 minute (or 25 in a title fight) UFC match is fantastic, but when you've got the tension of a megafight or the action of a FOTY that carries forward for about an hour, from ring entrances to judges' decisions, there's a special environment.
One of the things I enjoyed about Cinderella Man was the inclusion of old-school radio play-by-play, the action being painted in the manner when boxing was big for precisely that reason.
Look, Judah-Mayweather was a fight that I had to order out of duty, and it had lost some luster due to Judah's loss to Baldomir. But it was built up properly so that, as the fight was getting going in the first four rounds, I could feel that same tension I do that keeps me on the edge of my seat.
