canelo: eked out wins vs trout, lara and old cotto with various spectators crying robbery for each of them, and was completely whitewashed by the former p4p #1

estrada: knocked out viloria when he was arguably top 10 p4p, knocked out segura, who was formerly top 10 p4p, beat melindo decisively despite even pre-fight odds, and gave the current p4p #1 all he could handle

don't get me wrong, they both have great records for 25 year olds, estrada has just been consistently more impressive to me

These "wins" are highly suspect and beating a 45 year old blown up mosley and a shot to **** angulo are hardly wins to be proud of.

Estrada is mexicos best its not a debate. The only thing canelo is the best at is being a fraud.

There is no doubt that Marquez has had a bug up his butt about Canelo for a years now. He never has anything nice to say about him. He picked Cotto to win the fight before hand and openly rooted for Cotto the weeks leading into the fight. So it's not a surprise that after Canelo proved him wrong he still refuses to give the kid credit.

I think Marquez has always been a bitter and jealous man. Remember for the majority of the 2000's he lived in the shadows of Morales and Barrera who got all the mexican love and respect. It wasn't until those guys got old and their wars took a toll and they were diminished that he finally started getting the love from Mexicans. And he still has deep resentment over that. Then in the late 2000's and on he lived in Pacman's shadow chasing the love and respect he was getting. Then he finally got the win he obsessed over from Pacman then this young kid named Canelo started becoming huge and grabbing love and respect from fans. Marquez refused to give Pacman a rematch and lost to bradley and became inactive because of injuries and age and fans kept asking him to pass the mexican torch to Canelo who just kept getting bigger and bigger during that span and he refused. Now Canelo is clearly the guy and he just looks pathetic taking these shots at Canelo.

            Top 3 Mexican Fighters.

            1. Estrada

            2. Vargas

            3. Canelo

If Canelo beats GGG (at 160) he'll jump up to #1.

Hell look at fighters like Thurman and Wilder who are much older and still refuse to fight one top fighter that the fans are asking for. Yet Canelo has been a champ at 160 for all of 1 week and has something to prove yet the 2 fighters I have named technically been "champ" for a year or longer and have yet to even face a top 5 fighter in their weight or 1 fighter the fans are asking for. If we go a year from now and Canelo hasn't fought GGG then you can start bad mouthing him. But Canelo has earned my respect and it's pretty foolish to say a word about him when he's doing nothing but fighting top fighters and all the top names fans are asking for while other fighters who are older then him are fighting nobodies. If we making a list of fighters who have something to prove I'm getting deep into that list before Canelo name comes up. If you think Canelo has been baby sit what does that say for fighters like wilder, thurman, khan, garcia, brook, spence, Charlo, Crawford, ect?
So will he fight GGG at 160? yes or not? if your answer is no, then that's babysitting.

Marquez reminds a lot of Michael Jordan and how at the end of his career he was so bitter of the next generation. Even years after he retired refuse to say anything nice about Kobe or pass the torch. And even today he still craps on Lebron. That chip on Marquez and Jordan's shoulder is what made them greats. They used that obsession to chase things down real or imaginary to fuel their workouts. But now when you done with the game or at the end you just look pathetic using that to slight the next generation of greats.

It's not about Estrada who is a good fighter in his own rights this is about his hatred and jealousy of the attention Canelo has gotten. Estrada fights in a weaker division and has faced lesser competition then Canelo. Canelo has fought in better divisions and faced better fighters. Again let the numbers speak for themselves Canelo has fought 8 world champs, 3 future hall of famers, 2 fighters that were top 10 p4p ranked in the world when he fought them, won titles in 2 divisions. The names of the guys Canelo has W's against are far greater then the ones Estrada has and the accomplishes across the board are greater then Estrada. Canelo is fighting and beating better fighter. This is only a debate because old bitter man Marquez refuses to publicly pass the torch to Canelo. Even though Mexicans have long time now anointed Canelo the best Mexican right now.

Who the hell knows. Nobody does. I do know he will fight GGG that's my point. Nothing in Canelo's history say otherwise. Will it happen his next fight or later in the year? I don't know. Will it happen at 160 or a catch weight between 155 and 160? I don't know.

I get people have a problem with catch weights but that problem existed a long time before Canelo. Remember Canelo had to agree to a catch weight of 152 to fight Mayweather. Marquez had to agree to catch weight which Mayweather didn't even honor to get a fight with Floyd. Cotto had to agree to a catchweight to fight Pacquiao. And on and on. I do know that GGG started his career over a decade ago and has still refused to move up or down in weight to face better competition. Has he been baby sat? Canelo has fought everyone, he could wait a year to fight GGG at 160 for all I care. He has EARNED that right with me because of the level of competition and the fact he has already faced every fighter you or anyone else said he wouldn't. Meanwhile we got guys like Wilder and Thurman who are older who have belts a long time now and still forget fighting the best guy they aint fighting any of the top 5 guys in their division at all. That is baby sitting! Canelo fighting Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, Cotto all months after he turned 25 is just plain dumb to call baby sitting. That's a murderous row of tough fights with everything from sluggers, southpaws, defensive wizards, top 10 p4p fighters and future hall of famers. He hasn't ducked a single fighting style. You got fighters who REFUSE to fight anyone with power or refuse to face a single southpaw or refuse to face a single defensive fighter. Canelo fighting them all.

I have to say, I live JMM he's one of my all time favorites but he has shown a lot of hate towards Canelo.

In the post fight interview, he gave Canelo basically no credit. He scored the Cotto fight a draw, wtf was he watching?

They need to understand Canelo isn't your stereotypical Mexican fighter. He isn't coming forward like Marg, or Chavez. He is a more calculated boxer, and is more careful.

Trout got dropped and admitted himself he lost nobody screamed robbery. And Cotto lost on every credible ring side media members card. Nobody screaming robbery except a few die hard delusional cotto fans. The ONLY fight that was really close or questionable is the Lara fight. That could of went either way but most of the fans and ringside media had Canelo ekking out a close fight. Some had it a draw. And few had it for Lara. Trout and Cotto were decisive wins not at all controversial. And now Cotto is old? yet before the fight all we heard was how Roach has made him better then before, love the revision history that is going on. The mayweather loss doesn't hurt him because Floyd beat everyone EVERYONE including Marquez who he completely whitewashed and...put on his @ss.

As for Estrada Viloria WAS NEVER ON ANYBODY top 10 p4p when they fought lol And all his best wins are against lesser caliber fighters then Canelo. His greatest feat was giving Roman a close fight 3 years ago. Roman is a lot better now then he was then. 3 years ago Roman was probably not yet on most peoples p4p list.

Estrada has been dominant lately against inferior competition and lost the one fight he faced anyone as good as the guys Canelo is consistently facing. And people act like the loss to Sanchez never happened. I know he was young and avenged it but he has 2 losses in the last 4 years.
