This reminds me of that interview with Tyson Fury where he called Dereck Chisora a third-rate Joe Frazier he was right but it was funny. Anyway I'm going with Frazier KO.

Two years ago Wladimir dominates, imo.
When did he ever let his hands go? He didn't. He was always a single shotting clinch master.

He was the same last week , if not worse back in the prime of his career against Sultan Ibragimov.

Well everyone is basically looking at Frazier the legend and not the 5'11 guy with short reach who was a grinder ...Fury simply is not going to stand there or be pushed back to ropes like Ali...buster Mathis at 6'3 and length also out of shape was winning in 7 rounds ...I don't think Fury has much trouble at all with his length out boxing smaller slower frazier...fury is 250 plus ,he hits hard wenough to hurt Frazier,by late rounds if still going I really don't see edge here for Frazier...to slow/short and chinny for me to pick him here, The physical attributes alone would be enough to cause concern...Fury is a 6'9 giant with skill defense / offense...turns southpaw has footwork..speed in hands decent chin he took one from Wlad, I don't really think everyone has that sunk in yet that hes a legit threat, particulatly if you really cant REACH him...Fraziers in for a tough one either way...I think fury stops him in 7/8 rnds..

            Could beat..

Joe Frazier.. a chubby 205lb, 5'10" chinny, featherfisted, punch bag bum dwarf with zero skills who's best win would be of no relevance today and fought in one of the more unusually weak eras?

            Stunning insight!

Tyson Fury has never fought anybody as tiny as Frazier, OR as bummy. And he would never be allowed to... And Frazier would never have wanted to.

Besides, Frazier could never get a boxing license today because he was a handicap.

Even if it turns out that the Fury victory over Wladimir was due almost totally to the decline of or bad night of Wladimir and not the goods of Fury...

It is STILL physically impossible for Frazier to even fight Tyson Fury, as it is also physically impossible for him to have fought Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis before him.

More the point Joe Frazier does not even have ANYTHING in common with these guys! They are 2 weight ranges apart!

The only reason such ridiculous comparisons are made is because at one point in time they were both nominally CALLED HW's.

In terms of skills, all mentioned blow Frazier's skills out of the water.

I tend to agree with the dissenters on Joe. Too small and not durable enough. He was really a cruiserweight in his prime.

Sad but the division will never have normal sized contenders anymore beyond the rare one. To be in the old 6' to 6'2" range you will need to be a legend to compete against a skillful giant like Fury or prime Wlad.
