  • Quillin was done. I ain't even mad at the stoppage. He could no longer defend himself and wasn't throwing back.

    • One round? Pete...

      • Jacobs power is real.

A lot of us always knew it. Didn't expect a first round blow out though.

That had potential to be a blazing fight. Styles blended well you could sense it.

          • Wow great win for Jacob. Couldn't have happen to a better person. I'm ok with the stoppage but would have loved to see if Quillin would have recovered.

Yea, we've seen crazier things happen and to wave off every fight because a fighter is dazed really short-changes the fans and fighters. And, I say that as a guy who believes in prioritizing safety.

Happy Jacobs won, but feel that he got robbed of the chance to make a more defining statement.

                • Jacobs let it be known after the Mora fight that he doesn't do rematches

Ever since the UFC came along with John McCarthy pushing fighters aside and jumping on top of a guy as soon as he goes down this has leaked into boxing.
You clearly haven't watched the UFC and some of the hammerfists guys get on the ground. This is boxings problem, premature stoppages aren't a recurring problem in the UFC.

I do agree though, conclusive endings would help the sport.

It was fast, but he was on quuuuuuuueeeer street , if ref didn't stop it...it would have gotten embarrassing, multiple KD's. He had THAT look.
