Great upset. But was Klit vs Fury a great heavyweight fight?

But in a way, it was fought on a high technical level.

I watched it live in a sports bar and thought it was an extremely tense, edge of your seat kind of fight, but then I thought the same about Haye vs Valuev and Haye vs Klitschko. In hindsight it's not a fight that I'll come back to time and again since knowing the outcome robs it of any uncertainty. At the time there was the danger that Wlad could land something big on Fury whenever he dropped his hands which heightened the anxiety level for me.

Fury was quite sloppy however, which I put down partly to nerves, and in him being unable to really get comfortable throwing multiple shots against a physical mauler like Wlad. As anyone who's watched the Chisora and Hammer fights knows, Fury can box beautifully when given the right kind of opponent. Wlad was just too awkward and cagey to really box like that.

Yeah, what was the deal with that masked singer? The Dark Tenor or something like that.

That was weird. Like something out of one of those parties in Eyes Wide Shut.

It's impossible for Klitschko to be in a great fight!! He holds way too much. It's pathetic. He's so big and strong too but fights like a little b1tch. I don't even like Fury but I'm glad he busted him up late the way he did. Wlad fights like a coward.

                Exactly

                Typical Wlad fight and performance.

We should just all hope he retires gracefully so the younger guys can go at it.

The "fight" last night was a yawnfest.

Hell the MayPac fight has more action.

The fight didn't have much action until that last few rounds when Fury was landing some good shots, and Wlad started to open up during the last round which was too little, too late though.

Wasn't a good fight, but the result was memorable and the fact Fury was ahead and closing in on a victory over a dominant heavyweight champion who has been on top for almost 10 years still had me at the edge of my seat.

Probably the most exciting non-entertaining fight I've seen.

It was exciting when it become apparent that Wlad was not going to have things his own way.

But if it was just two generic boxers fighting, than no, it was pretty boring
