My saddest moment was when Ricky Hatton hit his head on the corner post and went down. When he was getting up, I could see he was hurt and wouldn't last the round...
What was your saddest moment in boxing?

1) Mike Tyson struggling to make it to his feet against Kevin McBride at the end of the seventh. You could see that he was just old and tired and didn't want it anymore. Its especially sad when you watch his older fights and compare the two, the man was a force of nature back in his prime.
2) Evander Holyfield getting beat by Larry Donald, JT, and Chris Byrd. The man is such a warrior and he goes out like this...
4) Listening to Meldrick Taylor talk on Legendary Nights and how his words are all slurred now, and yet he still keeps fighting. I literally welled up when I saw that...
This is the reason we fans should respect ALL fighters. They do something most of us don't have the balls to do.Comment

Although I was too young to comprehend the severity of the loss, B-Hop crushing Trinidad was a tremendous blow to me and puertorricans everywhere. The flag was thrown on the floor, Tito got punished, Tito was knocked down (and REALLY HURT compared to previous knockdowns in his career), his dad coming in and his first loss by TKO...in the final round of a championship bout.
It was devastating for so many reasons.
My dad (who's got this "tough" exterior) confessed that he cried when Gomez lost to Salvador Sánchez...a megafight back in its days.Comment
