I wanted Tyson to win but Wlad disappointed me massively. It's not cowardice, it's something else - a grittiness, a fearlessness, the ability to dig deep when you're not doing well.

People used to doubt Lewis' heart but go watch the Vitali fight, Lennox was a tough SOB. Wlad refused to pull the trigger. I don't put it down to him being old, it's because he couldn't get to grips with Tyson's weird rhythm. When Wlad finally let go in the 12th, he landed - but he was leaving himself open too. And for 11 rounds, he didn't want to take risks. And if you refuse to punch, if your second instinct in every single fooking fight is to reach for the clinch - well, then I'd rather we have a new sort of champion.

hmm this one I dont agree with,Wlad did look shot in the jennings fight to me but regardless the Fury that fought Wlad tonight would beat Wlad at any point in his career

There were plenty of fights Lennox showed heart and grit - but the Vitali one stands out because he fought on pure instinct and guts. I don't think Wlad could ever dig deep like that.

Well he proved tonight he couldn't even muster a tenth of what both Lennox and Vitali did that night - in 6 rounds!

In general obviously not. But boxing-wise yes. You can't forget the insane amount of clinching against smaller inferior opponents who took as much as 1 single step forward towards him.

True. Klitschko never came to fight

Kinda irks me when people who don't fight for a living or never have make threads like this. But I'll put true feelings to the side and just say that Wlad is not a blood and guts warrior but rather a tactician. No shame in being the latter, especially if you've already tasted defeat before and know your limitations.

Dude, you need help. Mayweather retired and Pac is at the end of his career. Time to get a life.....
