Yup, I hear you bro. Just giving a guy 2-3 lbs. advantage at the scales is huge!

So you believe Canelo should move back down, but I don't think he will. Just look at 154 right now, there's only one top guy that he could face (Andrade) while the rest are with PBC. If he chooses to remain at MW, then it's undignified to make every opponent fight at a catchweight. I would rather him move back down than go on a MW catchweight campaign.

He's lineal ring and wbc at 160. Yet he should have time to acclimate to 160? Last I checked..all this cw business at 155 was that time. He's BEEN had his time. It's **** or get off the pot time, the excuses are pathetic.

                End of story, happy Tday.
I mean, you're probably right. But, let's give the fight the respect it deserves. We don't have too many super fights left. I want to see this fight on an even playing field, so no one has excuses after it's all over.

What sort of upbringing did you have?

I would vomit half way through typing that but I have dignity

This will be cobarde's 5th "getting ready for middleweight" fight, his 5th in a row at 155 catchweight.

Other fighters do not have this luxury, when they can't make weight anymore they move up. They don't have 5 fights at 1 lb over the weight they can't make.

Strip him & parade him through town so the people can pelt him in garbage. What an embarrassment to the sport.

No, he needs to move up to 160. He needs to weigh in close 19-160, gain a little more mass. No catch-weights, let his guys come in at 160 limit. 2-3 fights against decent/good true middleweights, then GGG. Again, vacate WBC right now, only honorable thing to do if he's not ready for GGG.

All I am saying is let's give this fight the justice it deserves, let it truly mean something, and let it be on a even playing field for both parties involved. Both parties are trying to have an advantage going into the fight. If Canelo isn't ready, then vacate the belt, and fight GGG maybe 2 fights from now. I am fine with this.

The JMM fight is a perfect example of one guy fighting at a division that he wasn't ready for, stepping in with the "relatively" big dogs. Though, I think Canelo is a better size for middleweight, than Marquez was for 147, but he isn't quite there yet. Needs to test the waters, before fighting the best 160 pounder out there.
I just wonder why Canelo is a bit sceptical about whether he can perform at 160, why is he so worried that he cant do the business at 160, or that he can beat everyone just not GGG?
Not every fighter has a warm up fight at that weight before jumping in. Many people step up and just do the business if you are good enough you are big enough.
That fight people want to see now, and it shouldn't take a CW to get it on. If Canelo loses, he loses just like they all did to GGG. If Canelo doesn't disgrace himself and does OK, but thinks if he campaigns at 160 and gets better and better maybe he can rematch GGG and have another go.
