No more doo doo than 90 percent of the other champs out there. That's when you just refer to his resume... It ****s on most!

So, you think canelo and the lineal title has any relevance if he only defends it at 155? You want one guy to earn it but say nothing of the guy perpetuating the biggest b1tch move in the sport? And then you ask what happened to boxing?

Why not just fight him and beat him and become the face of boxing??? GGG's team messed up making that ppv fight as it messed up negotiation power..so now you have to bend to Canelos demands...just do it and win and be in the drivers seat...

Unfortunately boxing doesn't work that way.

All these interim, silver, emerald, ruby, sapphire belts out there, you think it was Pokemon.

These fighters nowadys don't care about actually winning the belts, they are more interested in getting to the finish line without doing the work beforehand.

You want the big money fights? Win the belts in your division. Force the "best" of your division to fight you, you get the payday.

                It is that simple.
All this A-side, B-Side stuff has been around for decades, it ain't new. The people who complain about it like they've never seen anything like it are the guys who are new to the sport. They don't realize that they give themselves away when they talk.

Apart from GGG (and even he is acting sketchy) when was the last time you heard any of these top fighters go out of their way to win a belt in their division?

any fighter with even the slightest amount of power tries to manipulate things to get out of fights or to rig fights to their advantage. larry himself used to love this kind of stuff. do what floyd says because he's floyd duh! what a great reason! its not like this is a sport that should have fair rules. one guy should be drained thats what is best for boxing. a fighter should be forced to wear pillow gloves. its what is good for boxing. a fighter should be able to break the rules of PED testing because its what is good for boxing. not fighting someone because they "dont bring enough money" then fighting someone who brings in even less is good for boxing.

Nice to see some common sense in this thread.
Catchweights are like claiming to be the best sprinter at 100 yard dash but insisting that everyone only competes over 90 yards.
The weight limits are there to create parity. That is boxing. Everything else is just stacking the odds in your favor.
If you've got lots more fans then sure, the lions share of money should go to you. It shouldn't make the fight easier though. That's just using your influence to cheat and shows you don't think you can win on an even playing field.
