little tito from 147, took one tune up fight at 160, answered the question "does his power still carry up at 160?" with a yes by a KO win, capturing a belt and then took that belt against the lineal champion at a full 160, so yes it was more meaningful and tito had way more balls than this generation has now.
    I 100 percent agree

Canelo won't be stripped probably but the WBC will put pressure on him to make the fight at least on 157, that's pretty obvious. What you want is to see GGG losing so you preassure for him to fight at 155 because that would be a weaker version of him. So STFU.

Canelo can just drop the WBC belt and he'll still be the Ring and Lineal champ. Sure some fans might be butthurt but they'll get over it. He can fight the winner of Lee/Saunders or Jacobs/Quillin and that would generate interest and respect or any of the 154ers.
Only plain and simple to a plain and simple-minded person.
Canelo fought Cotto (3rd biggest PPV draw behind the two biggest PPV stars of all time). Let Canelo fight Lemieux, and count Canelo's PPV drawing power. Mayweather fought pac and drew 4.2 mill PPV buys, then fought berto a few months later and drew 300K.
Canelo is continuing his climb--as is GGG. Neither is a bona fide mega star who's exempt from the rules of their sport, so cut this nonsense. GGG wants to follow the rules, and Canelo wants to break them (that part is plain & simple)
          Use your brain.

I think team GGG saying 160 only is just to get more money if Canelo wants the fight any lower he will need to give them a bigger purse

Manny and Floyd both got big but had to go thru obstacles to get there....**** whats fair and all that nonsesne this is boxing and this is what you have to go thru,THEN YOU CAN CALL THE SHOTS...hell who cares if somehow the WBC strips Canelo and hands yet another title to GGG...he still wont be able to sell **** and would be back to fighting random nobodies.
This is spot on man. An A-side and B-Side exists. You have to accept being the B-Side before calling shots.

Mayweather was the B-Side against Oscar De La Hoya, he was even forced to wear those massive pillow gloves. Floyd won and then he called the shots.

No matter what, Canelo and Golden Boy are the A-side. A guy who did 90K PPV Buys cannot call the shots against a guy who did 900K. This catch-weight isn't unreasonably unfair, Golovkin can make it. It's the only way the fight is going to happen.

Lol are you mad because your boy GGG doesn't want to take risks?

"I will come down to 154 to fight Floyd" - But won't come to 155 to fight Canelo.

"I will go to 168 to fight Froch" - But won't go to 168 to fight Ward.

                  LOL

Matthew Hatton would not have lasted 12 rounds with GGG.

its funny seeing/hearing cotto and canelo's reaction as middleweight champs wanting catchweights vs A FELLOW DIVISION CHAMPION!!!!!

i mean the fear is real. lol... quite shameless really.

I expected such beta behavior from a rican, but not a tru mexican aztec warrior. i blame canelo's gingeritis.

had canelo been born a regular brown mexican, he would have fought GGG at full 160and never mention catchweights.
