Abel Sanchez says GGG can easily make 154

So what the hell is the big deal about 155? Canelo is A HUGE!!!!! fight for him and it will make him a PPV star and maybe even the face of boxing if he beats Canelo....So what the hell is the big deal??? fight him at 155,beat him, become the Lineal champ, sell big on ppv and become the face of boxing...The sky is the limit after that......so why all the crying and b1tching??? Manny and Floyd both got big but had to go thru obstacles to get there....**** whats fair and all that nonsesne this is boxing and this is what you have to go thru,THEN YOU CAN CALL THE SHOTS...hell who cares if somehow the WBC strips Canelo and hands yet another title to GGG...he still wont be able to sell **** and would be back to fighting random nobodies.

I don't think Golovkin gets all that much credit for beating Alvarez yet, the crops aren't ready to be harvest. When Nard beat Tito, Tito was riding monster momentum to the point where Hopkins was a big underdog. Pretty much the same when Hagler beat Hearns.

What comes after Golovkin beats Canelo? He won't be a instant ppv star for it. HBO needs to cut a deal that lets Golovkin fight the Quillin/Jacobs winner and even Lara & Eubank. That buys Alvarez time to develop more and give us a true super fight.

The "big deal" is that as the mandatory challenger, he doesnt have to negotiate weight.

Sure, Canelo may get out his checkbook and make GGG an offer that makes it worthwhile, but in the end, if GGG doesnt want to do 155, he doesnt have to. He can force Canelo to unbuckle the belt and hand it over

True. If GGG really wants the fight he's going to have to concede to Canelos demands, plain and simple. 900k>97k that's what it is. I'm not saying its right that Canelo is demanding the catchweight but thats the reality of the situation.

Canelo can just drop the WBC belt and he'll still be the Ring and Lineal champ. Sure some fans might be butthurt but they'll get over it. He can fight the winner of Lee/Saunders or Jacobs/Quillin and that would generate interest and respect or any of the 154ers.

Sure. What happens when Golovkin says ok to 155, is Canelo going to fight him next?

If GGG goes down in weight, he should be given a 5 million dollar guarantee, with a very generous chunk of the PPV revenue.

Personally, GGG can just make Canelo look bad by facing Lee/BJS winner, holding 3 belts and making Canelo look a *****. I think I can deduce from previous actions that Canelo is not a *****. He is a young man out to prove himself and he would like to prove himself against the very best.

At best, Canelo could probably get the weight at 157 if GGG unifies by late 2016, making for a super fight in 2017, with both men bigger names and Canelo wanting to prove himself.
