Canelo will fight GGG next at 160 or vacate the title. Vacating would leave Canelo with few options really and he will eventually grow out of his 155 lb division at which time everything will go through Golovkin.

In other words this is just the preliminary negotiations. Team Canelo and Team Golovkin will find out if they can agree on some weight and a corresponding pursesplit.

When the GGG hype-train left the station, most fans were under the impression that GGG actually wanted to fight guys like Ward/Cotto/Canelo/Lara.

Golovkin used to fight in the 154-168 division..... then Ward punked him away from 168..... then Cotto/Canelo punked him away from 154..... then Lara, well Lara just punked him, period.

Pac wasn't a mandatory doe. Lineal belt doe.

It's a lot of things.

1. Pac won 6 divisional titles without CWs. Canelo 1st was 150 (failed to make by 2lbs) vs bum Hatton, 2nd 155 vs small Cotto.
2. Pac was coming up in weight both times, not defending the fcuking lineal belt
3. He wasn't blowing up 20lbs fight night
4. He's never try to pull lower division + 1lb b1tch move. Who does that?

Canelo is "family" for WBC, yet WBC has a ruling in place regarding what is to happen next. Sulaiman just said that they will update it on Monday.

In the OP it was not Canelo or Oscar who called GGG at 155, it was Canelo's trainer. They only try to get an early reaction from team Golovkin. Normally, such a reaction doesn't have to come until after Monday.
