In the welterweight division, there are Pacquiao, Bradley, Thurman, Brooks, Porter, Maidana, Khan and Guerrero. Let's look at the options here. Pacquiao and Bradley are with HBO and TR, while Garcia is with Haymon. You already know. Maidana is retired. Thurman and Porter are scheduled to fight each other. Khan already happened. Kell Brooks is fighting Chaves I believe. Rios is retired. Sounds like the obvious choice was Guerrero. And don't pick out a random name just to prove me wrong like "uhh Andre Berto tho."

Coulda fought Spence, Martinez, Alexander, Khan.

Boring fight with a GUARANTEED winner, but as long as he fights someone GOOD next, then it's fine.

Anyone else interested in Canelo-Garcia? Both are huge guys and both counterpunch well.

Did you really say Martinez because he dropped Guerrero? He lost. And if Danny picked Martinez, a 19-4 with 4 KOs, trust me, that would be a bigger cherry pick. Lol, he said Martinez.

Swift threw a monkey wrench in the game by upsetting AK and Lucas....his critics are just being over critical....one, he's a Uncle Al fighter, two, he made a lot of cats seem like they don't know **** about the sport....dudes are just too quick to be over critical of the young lion....it has become a trend....being over critical of Swift is a trend....a few other fighters are hate trendy as well....it's a shame on one hand but I kinda like it....it gives the Swift base that US AGAINST THE WORLD type attitude.....I like being outnumbered ....again, good post bro....a lot of cats be quick to shoot down whatever Swift does without really looking at the big pic

What's good about it? Even if it's competitive, I really can't be bothered to care personally.

You know what, It'd make for a good fight on an undercard though.

Khan and Garcia are #1 and #2 in the WBC rankings and Khan has asked for that rematch for years. They should be fighting each other.

Im sure Garcia is one of the highest viewed fighters under the PBC format so i suppose its a way to build up a clash with Khan later in the year. Obviously would have preferred the rematch but if guerrero has anything left, it'll be an entertaining fight for sure.

Guerrero not exactly a massive WW and same goes to Garcia so its a decent matchup in that sense.

                    This!

Having said that, for DG, this isn't a bad fight at fully fledged welter and how he deals with Guerrero will help me better appreciate how he deals with the upper tier at 147.

At least Aaron isn't shot and is coming off a good win.
