        About damn time

Look it's laughable at who Stevenson has been facing since he's left HBO outside of Fonfara.

Sergey deserves that honor not Adonis.

Kovalev has been dominant and has faught way better competition

Harsh? the rules have been on their website for the longest time. It's right there the Ring Champion can lose his spot if....and you go down the line and see
#5 The Champion does not schedule a fight with a Top-5 contender from any weight class for two years.

Has Stevenson faced a top 5 contender at any weight class in the last 2 years? The answer is no. This has nothing to do with Oscar. That's the Ring rule and Stevenson's ducking finally catching up to him. Bad management/adviser is why he has turned down and run away from top competition. Ring didn't just make up some new rule just to screw Stevenson over. He screwed himself over. How can any unbiased person deny that ever since he signed with Haymon his level of opposition has fallen off a mountain. His best wins were prior to Haymon that's how he got the Ring title and he had big fights on the table that died the moment he signed with Haymon. And since he's been with Haymon it's one excuse or another why he can't fight any other top guys.

GYM is the one setting up voluntary defenses against Bika, Sukhotsky, and Karpency. Those are pretty pathetic fights for the champion.

They offered Pascal only 25% of the purse, they called for an immediate purse bid vs Kovalev before he could complete his IBF mando, and they dragged their feet on Hopkins to get him stripped of his IBF.

Hopefully Chilemba looks good and puts pressure on Stevenson to step up and take a tough fight again. He's 39 and his style won't last much longer.

EXACTLY. First off Oscar has nothing to do with the rule. That shyt been around for a long time. Anyone could go to their website look at the rankings and you see it. Second fans and other media outlets been calling out Stevenson for years now with his duck moves and weak opposition. This ain't about nobody but Stevenson's adviser who refuses to put him in the ring with top fighters...end of story.

One curious thing that he left off his list of circumstances for his fighters ducks is that the pimp tucked tail & ran to Haymon when the Kovalev fight was already made at HBO. No one other than PBC fanboys consider Adonis the LHW champion, premier or otherwise. He's a piece of **** that will get flushed down the toilet if he steps in the ring with the real LHW champ.

Then how do you explain Pascal being ranked 3rd best Light Heavyweight on ESPN rankings which have NOTHING to do with Ring Magazine? What fighters are you putting ahead of Pascal? Pascal is basically top 5 light heavyweight on every creditable 3rd party boxing rankings right now. And Ring has him slightly lower then ESPN. People trying way hard to find controversy when there is really none here. Stevenson has not followed the rules and has fought p iss poor competition that's why he lost his spot.

They rank Ward who's done absolutely NOTHING in four years and he's still in their pathetic little ratings.
Not true. Ward lost his spot and is not ranked on any of the divisional rankings and his ring championship spot at Super Middleweight is vacant.
