I ultimately said they take different routes in order to end up at the same place. If your thought process worked for anything other than emo-fanboy backlash, you'd see that's not exactly what you described. Christ, are you ******.
LOL even worse. They fight nothing alike. Nah, you said they fight the same, "winging punches, hoping to land one, doesn't set his shots up" LMAO. Doesn't set his shots up? That's his whole style. You should go follow another sport mate, you have no idea what you're watching.
Style wise it's a good fight for Canelo in my opinion, he doesn't deal well with movement but he's actually a very good boxer.
GGG has the style to make Canelo look good and potentially enough power to knock him out.
I think Canelo will land some beautiful shots, mostly counters and body shots.
Will he try to get inside? how often?. He looks very strong, perhaps strong enough to push GGG back.
GGG has a leaky defense and very little inside game.
On the other hand he has power, a very good jab, good at setting up punches.
I think Canelo's defense could be good enough to minimize the damage, altough creative GGG does not create angles on his attacks, it seems to me he creates angles by chasing his opponent most of the times.
If GGG stands there and Canelo can neutralize his jab, it's gonna be a great fight.
In spite of these advantages, still a 50-50 fight, or 55-45 for GGG, not more than that imo.
Unfortunately we have 3 MW lineal champs in a row that would rather not give him that opportunity. Too beastly
lol. Golovkin is openly hiding from fights against Andre Ward and at least two 154lb fighters (Lara, Andrade) and you want to talk about "beastly"? gtfoh.
Gennady Golovkin is a bordering on 34 year old middleweight fighter, who has yet to fight anyone decent and is looking for at least one big payday before his body fails him.
The man's been a professional fighter for a decade now and no one knows how good he actually is yet. Let that sink in for a moment.
If Canelo can take GGG's power, I think he has more than a good shot to pull it off. GGG comes forward and doesn't like the inside too much, can be countered and seems to enjoy the taste of uppercuts. Canelo thrives against come forward fighters whom don't use movement to evade his combinations, he sets up nice traps and has some impressive feints to work behind from. He also has nice upper body movement to limit damage taken. However, we all know his stamina isn't the greatest so GGG's power could become even more effective in the later rounds.
Great clash of styles, I would love for this fight to go down.
I cannot see Canelo seeing the final bell. I just cannot. He is a solid all around fighter, but GGG seems at a higher level in every aspect. Every fight he has seems to be a walk in the park, like he is sparring.
Like Darnell Boone said, we have not even seen half of what GGG is capable of, as no fighter has been able to bring it out of him yet.

Andrade 6 months ago:
"Then bring on Canelo and then a solid three years would have gone by and then I want to fight Gennady Golovkin on pay-per-view."
Ward would fight him next year, at 50/50 lol. Team Lara is like, we want Andy Lee, if that doesnt work we'll try GGG. They schedule Zaveck. Now they're, we want the best SWW, we want Canelo, if that doesnt work we try GGG. You know what that means, another bum on tap.

That Darnell Boone article has me excited about GGG's potential at 168lb. Lets face it, there's nothing left for GGG at 160lb if Canelo swerves him. GGG should be able to hold his own and then some at when he moves up.
