Not really, If you ask me to name my top 10 Fav fighters he would either not be on it or 9/10. I just like watching him don't you as a boxing fan? He should have been Lineal by now if Sergio fought him or Cotto.

Canelo has a significant advantage in hand speed and has the ability to make you miss and counter in the pocket. I think he is being severely underestimated in this fight.

I don't think he will. But in his favour is his very sharp and accurate combination punching, his timing, and Golovkin's leaky defence. Almost certainly won't be enough to he'll have his moments.

                Catchweight or bad decision.
At 160, GGG by KO is what I think would happen.
Canelo has got better the last few years. But he has created a new weight class to avoid moving up to 160.
Canelo really laid an egg against Floyd, I expected him to give a good showing and maybe test Floyd's chin and will (like Maidana was able to).

Canelo has a chance, my money is on GGG.

This has honestly left me puzzled as to how canelo could win that fight. If anyone has got a legitimate idea of how he'd beat ggg (which doesn't involve "oh,canelo has a better resume though") I'd really like to hear it and discuss it.
Go back and watch Golovkin vs Rosado; scar tissue skin failing him aside, Rosado was in that fight through the corner stoppage.

Golovkin doesn't fight all that well on the inside, Golovkin still comes wide with his power shots, Golovkin doesn't seem to look all that effective when he has to fight going backwards, and, in a shock, Golovkin has this odd habit of completely shelling up when his opponent is actually coming after him (a la Pacquiao immediately throwing on the earmuffs when facing incoming fire).

Canelo's full-on punching power is still in question, to me, but Canelo comes into the fight in similar size to Golovkin, with a wide variety of effective shots in his arsenal, and clear and obvious knowledge/experience gained from having had the Mayweather fight (slip-counter is now in his arsenal, incorporating jab-to-the-stomach/feint to the stomach into his own punch arsenal options, using defense/slipping/footwork to keep active without blowing through his punches, etc).

Stamina is still an issue though (Canelo was able to get through most of Round 9 before the tank started to wane).

Ward, James Degale, and Arthur Abraham, off the top of my head, all beat Gennady Golovkin (Doubt that Golovkin even beats Andre Dirrell, tbh). Wouldn't bet against Peter Quillin beating Golovkin as well.

No one is honestly saying that Canelo stops Golovkin in 6 rounds, but you're discounting the performance, in the name of hanging onto your belief in Golovkin.

Cotto is a level above, maybe even two levels, anyone Golovkin's ever fought. Canelo is a level above, maybe even two levels, anyone Golovkin's ever fought.

if you think it's a walk, you should probably watch more fights.
