Cotto's "amazing jab" made Canelo's upper body movement look slicker than Rigondeaux himself in there .

Wasn't Cotto the superior boxer in every aspect? So odd, I saw Canelo clearly outbox this "beast mode" Cotto with ease.

        54 Total jabs connected 37

Dude landed only 17 more jabs at a lower connect percent. Difference here is both Herrera and Cotto threw a lot of jabs. But Herrera actually connected. Cotto threw OVER 300 jabs that NEVER landed. You don't get points for that lol And was outpunched in total stats, and power punchers and was held to low connect percents that you typically see from a defensive wizard like Mayweather. Canelo defense and counter punching his why Cotto couldn't land anything significant all night. He was simply ineffective too many rounds.
goes back to my 1st reply to you... stop beatin around the bush....

I don't agree he won the fight, but it was 7-5 Canelo is what I had. I had Cotto at 4-1 going into the 6th frame.

Regardless, he lost, Canelo won the majority of the middle and championship rounds.

If Cotto did just a little bit more he could have won, I can see why some people may have had it a draw as well. At the end of the day it's an L no one cares about the cards when looking at your record, losing 7-5 or 11-1 is still taking an L, but I can understand being a bit upset at the actual scoring, itd be nice to see competent judging for once in a fight of this magnitude.

I really can't see Canelo having connected those 155 punches they claim he did. I hope I can download the whole fight, watch it in slow motion closely and start counting. I may be wrong, because I saw Cotto easily out-punching Canelo even if his punches were half as powerful at best

As I mentioned, I will try and see the Cotto-Canelo fight in slow motion, just counting Canelo's connected punches. If he actually did connect 155, I will definitely stand corrected but I really doubt it really happened. I hope I get surprised and find out I was actually wrong though because as I mentioned before, I was totally rooting for Canelo and his performance really disappointed me because of his pathetic stamina/conditioning issues.
Two things: first, you shouldn't have to watch the fight in slo-mo to see if Canelo landed more punches than Cotto. Canelo clearly beat Cotto by landing cleaner, harder punches, while making Cotto miss quite a bit. Nearly every punch Canelo landed hurt Cotto, while few if any punches landed by Cotto hurt Canelo.

Second, Canelo is a big guy. Big guys tend to get tired from throwing big shots, which Saul threw all night. Furthemore, He chased Cotto all night, once Miguel felt Canelo's power (which was almost from the start). That takes energy too. Cotto hoped that he could tire him out, so he could capitalize. I give Alvarez props for not punching himself out and being able to sustain enough energy to be dangerous for the entire fight.

Different cotto, same diva! .....shame, I was actually starting to like this cotto.

Everything cotto did, Canelo seemed to do a little better.
