    It's a feasible scorecard, yes.

It's harsh on Cotto but not out of the realms of possibility.

Got to hand it to Cotto; he's a diva 'til the end. Did he tell the staff in the ER that he felt he won too?

didn't Golovkin just wait a year already for Cotto to decide he wasn't facing him after all, why'd he wanna wait another year when the WBC are only giving Canelo two weeks to state his intentions. He either ducks GGG or faces him, it is realy that simple.

I used to be a fan of him but he is making it so hard.

Hasn't he walked out of the ring in every decision loss? Cry baby.

Even Marquez (the second biggest cry baby in boxing) allowed an interview in his wardrobe.

This fight was 7-5 / 8-4 Canelo, no wider, no closer IMO.

You ricans are plain delusional like PRBOXINGCOTTO who called JMM a crybaby for saying he beat pac which those fights were really close but when it comes to your boxer cotto when he clearly lost you guys call it a robbery. You guys are pathetic just like cotto.
            So jabs don't count now???

so why was everyone crying about Herrera outjabbing DSG?

man nsb is full of flip floppers.

Props to big Javi for showing face today and acknowledging 2
              Things

              1. Cotto clearly lost
              2. It was closer than the cards showed

              I had it 8-4 Canelo
I really can't see giving Cotto more than that
He was very ineffective and at times Canelo looked bored

Herrera basically landed 3X the amount of jabs on Garcia and at a significanly higher connect percent. Look at the jab stats this weekend.

                    Cotto vs Canelo
                    374 Total jabs thrown 186
                    54 Total jabs connected 37
                    14% Percentage 20%

Dude landed only 17 more jabs at a lower connect percent. Difference here is both Herrera and Cotto threw a lot of jabs. But Herrera actually connected. Cotto threw OVER 300 jabs that NEVER landed. You don't get points for that lol And was outpunched in total stats, and power punchers and was held to low connect percents that you typically see from a defensive wizard like Mayweather. Canelo defense and counter punching his why Cotto couldn't land anything significant all night. He was simply ineffective too many rounds.

I really can't see Canelo having connected those 155 punches they claim he did. I hope I can download the whole fight, watch it in slow motion closely and start counting. I may be wrong, because I saw Cotto easily out-punching Canelo even if his punches were half as powerful at best.

Now, if you go by Compubox stats, there are a few fights that should have gone the other way purely by how superior the loser was to the winner in punch stats according to Compubox, as of the moment I am posting this (I just realized Compubox does change their web site stats, and remove charts they were previously displaying, at will).

Castillo-Mayweather Jr. first meeting: EASILY WON by Castillo, according to Compubox Punchstats as of RIGHT NOW.

                      Total Punches Castillo Mayweather
                      Landed 203 157
                      Thrown 506 448
                      Percent 40% 35%

Pacquiao totally DESTROYED Bradley in their first fight, according to the Compubox stats as of RIGHT NOW, yet he lost according to the judges

                      Total Punches Pacquiao Bradley
                      Landed 253 159
                      Thrown 751 839
                      Pct. 34% 19%

I also clearly remember that the stats for fights 1, 2 and 3 between Manny and JMM WERE THERE, and Marquez did win clearly in the punchstats in the first two. There was the typical chart for all the mentioned fights, which showed that, I swear. Strangely though, all those charts are gone now and, even more strangely, the numbers are reversed in favor of Manny for the second fight, yet not in the regular chart which is missing now and was in favor of Marquez, but as part of the commentary now.

How can you trust a source that changes their fight stats later on, and removes charts that were on display previously, for years?

Many have complained about the accuracy of those stats. Thus many people involved in boxing completely disregard them.

As I mentioned, I will try and see the Cotto-Canelo fight in slow motion, just counting Canelo's connected punches. If he actually did connect 155, I will definitely stand corrected but I really doubt it really happened. I hope I get surprised and find out I was actually wrong though because as I mentioned before, I was totally rooting for Canelo and his performance really disappointed me because of his pathetic stamina/conditioning issues.
Please if you watch the fight in slow mo let me know what the tru stats are because I really think this compbox **** is a joke!
