well ggg said that what 3 years ago? that was when ggg tried to fight ward and ward said the timing wasn't right. context matters folks. you can take things out of context very easily to form your narrative. ward has said he would fight at 160 and at heavweight but no one is demanding him to fight ggg at 160 or wlad.

now things are different and ggg is focused on cotto-canelo winner so ward offerering ggg a fight when he knew the much bigger ggg-cotto canelo was priority is not very brave at all. its just a good way to get press and try to knock ggg down a peg but it wasn't a realistic offer simply because ggg has other fights in his weight division where in the past when he made that comment he couldn't get any fights in his own division hence he was willing to fight others in other divisions. the context has changed.

He'll check to see which MWs agree to get drained first. It's not like he has any competition waiting for him at LMW because almost everyone there is Haymon/PBC. Canelo wouldn't dare fight Andrade if he doesn't have to. He'll stay at MW and drain some mid-tier guy like Heiland.

Yeah, I don't think we'll see Canelo fight Golovkin anytime soon. Maybe in 3 years time.

            155 is middleweight

he is a middleweight, just too clumsy and predictable to beat other legit middleweights

Congratulations to Canelo, no shame in dropping the belt and avoiding GGG for now. He can continue to fight at 155, 154 whatever and GGG can finally claim a belt that is rightly his.

I already got an email today from someone I trust who tells me it will do WELL over 750k. Obviously nobody has REAL numbers yet, but the trending numbers, advance buys, and other stuff they analyze tells him over 750k guaranteed.

I think this is the fairest result all around. Canelo drop belt, let GGG unify while Nelo apparently 'adjusts' to MW and then they can fight for all the marbles in 12 months.

And Saul can at least still bring the 'linear' title to the table.
