That's better. It might beat 150k, if it happens, which I doubt.

Do u really think Hayman's access to that level of OPM's was granted without having to put up a substantial personal stake of his own ???

So making far more money than he'd ever made before for a single fight was somehow disadvantageous to Peter Quillin's career?

Correct ! Do u think Quillin bum-sauce azz can go anywhere else and get paid on average what he gets paid with Al ?

Had Quillin not signed with Al , he would of been forced to fight GGG long ago , KO'd , discarded and forced into retirement or left to fight bums for slave wages prolly on ESPN , just like Stevens once he lost to GGG

Al has prolonged his career , sustained his premium payouts and kept him in play as a formidable presence in the 160 division (no matter how much of a illusion it may be).

Now having said all that , is crossing Haymon by taking the Korobov fight just to capitalize on a career high cash grab a smart thing to do if he was advised otherwise by Al ?

Why would i ask why TWO champions need a purse bid? As far as i know Team Kovalev were the ones that NEEDS a purse bid.

Kovalev beats Stevenson but cannot beat Ward

Kovalev beats Stevenson easily by Ko. But Ward schools Kovie in a boring decision making the clumsy Kovalev look inept and crude and inexperienced. Stevenson isn't that hard of a fight for Kovie. Ward would be hell.

I don't really see a clumsiness in Kovalev.

He's a very big light-heavyweight and it won't be easy for Ward to bully him or push him around, probably impossible especially since Ward has even less power than Pascal.

Only thing I can see Ward having on Kovalev is handspeed, but it probably won't be enough.

little g beat Kovalev 4 times years ago quite easily. Kovie wants no part of little g and that is under stood. Ward is just a superior fighter with skills maybe the best in boxing if Ward would only fight more it would be so apparent. Kovalev is still a project in learning with a big punch who will only get better. Ward wins a decision going away as Kovalev would have a hard time beating Ward and catching the elusive skillful Oakland warrior.

I don't know why I bother but I will say it once again. Main Events never asked for a purse bid and they were also never given an opportunity to negotiate. Because it went straight to a purse bid because GYM requested that it did, which is not the way it usually happens.
