Is that so? FYI, Hopkins didnt even get the Tito fight until he was 36, and most would agree that Hops resume went up from there.

Now thats not to say that GGG will box until he's 50 like the freak Hops, but he has taken no punishment of note, does not have a style that is solely dependant on speed (ala Roy Jones), and has showed ZERO signs of slipping.

Personally I dont even think he has hit his prime yet.

And in your rush to be snarky you decided to lie about Golovkin's age?

Manny, Ronda, Golovkin = they ALL badly failed to live up to their hype.

Pac was legit, and still is..... just over-rated.

At least Manny/Ronda will take dangerous fights.

        Pac > Ronda > Golovkin

I just told the other muppet I get it now.

Floyd beat Manny and retired, so now you need to find a new slick black **** to suck, and new Manny's to shit on.

It's as plain as the **** on your head. I should have got it without having to ask.

It was Ronda that threw me. I couln't figure out how she came into it.

Then I remembered - I'm talking to "men" who think like adolescent schoolgirls.

I said he's almost 35, he is. Nothing about my point changed based on him being a a year and a half away from from 35. He will still be old whenever Canelo decides to fight him. There still isn't anyone for him to fight at MW, and he still passed up his best chance to be great in fighting Ward.

If somebody asked you how old you are, would you state your actual age, or tell them how old you were going to be in a year and a half's time?

If you were talking about Canelo's age, would you say he was almost 27?

As you mention Ward, would you say he was 31, or "almost the same age as Golovkin"?

I hope they can make the fight soon, Canelo and Golovkin would be a war.

a fighter who's forced to move down an extra amount of weight can find himself in big trouble if his body doesn't respond like he wants.

He'll spend more time worried about making weight and torturing himself with diets and dehydration than focusing on the fight itself. He'll waste valuable time that could be used for actual training, and when he trains, he'll be weak as ****. This will give the opponent a huge advantage come fight night. Look what happened to Chad Dawson and Geale, two guys who struggled a lot to make the cw, the guys were weakened zombies on fight night and easy prey for their opponents

GGG is levels above Canelo (and im a Canelo fan), but he's never fought below MW and he's 34, there's a big possibility the cw will affect him badly. and imo, that's what Canelo wants.

that's why cws are tricky, and should be avoided if possible
Good points regarding CW and weight cuts.

If Canelo and his team don't think that Golovkin is the best fight for them next then he can just vacate. It's no big deal, just a business decision and the titles mean very little really. He can save on sanctioning fees and step aside monies etc whilst he matures into a full 160lb-er.

First off, in my original post I was never asked how old the guy was, so your point is worthless here.

And no I wouldn't say that about Canelo because 27 isn't a round number. I would say Floyd is almost 40 though. Ward is just passed 30. You do understand how rounding works right?

No kid, your post is truly pathetic..... because my post is accurate, and you did not provide any facts/opinion to confirm otherwise.

His interview with Ed Bradley on 60 minutes was very hard to sit through from the perspective of a genuine long-term boxing fan.

Because of his 8th divisional title, Pac was hyped as the greatest fighter of all time..... he could beat Mayweather easy, Duran/Hearns/Leonard..... all of them.

Well, h couldn't even beat Marquez decisively.

A terrific fighter, obviously elite, but obviously NOT the greatest of all time.
