Oh yes, GGG is an ancient warrior, GTFO with that, he is there becauese he doesnt want to risk advantages. Titles mean little these days.

How has his stretegy played out? He is in mid 30s fighting bum after bum begging Cotto and Canelo, waiting

      Thats boxing for decades
No, you're a nationalist. If you were a boxing fan, you'd want a fair fight at the standard weight class. There should never be a catchweight when 2 guys fight in the same weight class.

Well i never specified he should come in at 155. But i mean if he wants to come in at 158 if thats where he's comfortable, that's his choice but don't lower the 160 limit. Plenty of fighters come in 2lbs under the limit all the time and don't cause a fuss.

One fights at 160, one fights at 168. So whats the problem?

But there are all the time. It doesnt make me a nationalist to recognize ****ty boxing politics.

Youre arguing from the point of view of rightiousness, from what ought to be rather than what is. Wake up man, this is boxing.

i think canelo and gbp will budge on 155 anyway. let's not forget that they requested 156 and cotto negotiated it down. by next september when the fight will hopefully take place, he will probably need a little more wriggle room himself. canelo starting point is 155 and golovkin's is 160, now let's see how they compromise

I'd say having a net worth of $20 million and being rated as the best middleweight currently is a great career to have. Never been KO'd or knockdown, so hopefully he could retire without too much brain trauma.

Sounds like a pretty successful career, if you ask me. That's what it is after all, a career. He could retire now comfortably and forego anymore tough fights if he wanted too. Not a bad idea if you asked me.

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Well, where were you when GGG's fans were doing that? Why didn't you criticize them when they were playing this game with Andre Ward?

I think that's the whole point. Certain posters excuse anything Golovkin does and keep shifting their standards to accommodate his actions. While giving other boxers crap constantly when they do the same thing.

160 and 168. Catchweight is reasonable.
160 and 160, no catchweight necessary, unless you are looking for one fighter to have an advantage. Seems pretty weird for somone to want that when they cried about even playing fields for as long as you have. Lets be real, GGG just isn't black enough for you.
