He is not Mayweather. GGG's priority is the WBC belt, not a shot at Canelo and the PPV money. And Canelo is due to get stripped if he refuses to fight.

He´s a troll. - If Canelo refuses 160 and gets stripped there´s a good chance GGG will be undisputed by 2016 end. Question is.. who´s Canelo going to fight then, on whose terms? Squeeze to 154? Rule his own 155 division? It really would be best for Canelo to fight GGG next at 160. That way he´ll really be the A-side, take the lion´s share of the split and gain new fans and a lot of respect, win or lose. It would even restore the value of that WBC belt and the whole MW division.

Universally recognised weight limits for title fights. Welterweight 147 max. Super welterweight 154 max. Caneloweight 155 max. Middleweight 160 max. Is GGG prepared to go into skeleton mode to get himself a shot at the Caneloweight title? Middleweight king Golovkin is a proud man and a serious fighter who takes the game seriously so, no, that's not a serious question.

GGG holds 3 belts at MW, Canelo holds one catchweight title. GGG is the mandator for a 160 LB belt, not for 155 lb. If Canelo plays the diva and rather vacates the belt, then maybe GGG would agree to 158 so the fight gets made at least. But no way they are fighting at 155.
